John, I know it’s your schtick, but one day I hope to listen to a whole 5 minutes of news you’re excited about!

This tech 5 never works on my iPhone even clicking the non flash link

  3. sargasso says:

iPads are not shifting in the Euro zone because they are style conscious, better educated and cruelly critical of Steve Jobs. They can afford it, their WiFi and 3G are at least as good as America’s. It’s just a big fat black bezel with an iPod Touch glued to the center, as far as most sensible Eurogeeks are concerned. That, and they can’t realistically use one in public, certainly not in a pub, without being mistaken for an American tourist.

I wonder if the fact that the iPan is only available in the US could be the reason it isn’t taking off in europe.

Of course Europeans have been paying over $5000 on ebay for iPads.

Some people want an Ipad. I wanted a 30 inch high res monitor and a quad core with 9 gigs of ram for video editing.

For mobile computing I’m spoiled by my net book. The display is the same size, the cpu is faster, it has the connectors and a 160 gig hard drive. It can hold all my music, most of my picture and a lot of video and the keyboard isn’t bad. Battery life is pretty good.

Call me back when an Ipad can do at least as much as my netbook. Yes a net book looks cool but it doesn’t have the muscle I want and it costs more than a machine that does.
