I think the Democrats are fired up and ready to go. I think Obama has opened up a can of whoop-ass on the Republicans.

Democrats are whores to the corporations as much as the Republications.
Whores never show courage to their pimps or johns.
You know its funny to hear the dems gloat, they really have no idea how big they have screwed up. Like someone said earlier the pendulum will swing the other way, and I hope those on the other side remember this. If the dems can take over 18% of the econ through tricks, then the Republicans should press through their agenda using the same tricks. If its good for the dems, its good for the repugs right my liberal friends?
The dems, have about a year, then they will lose their majority. Those on the right, and independents are pissed. They see the dems as a bunch of inside dealing, tricksters who have to change the rules to get what they want.
And as much as I may not like it, people who are mad go to the voting box allot more than people who are content (just look what happen to the Republicans a few years ago).
In short the right is fired up, they see it as the only way to stop this train wreck, those on the left are content that something was passed, but its not exactly what they want, and they don’t like the way the dems went about it with all the special favors and kick backs.
So yeah, gloat my liberal friends. You have opened a Pandora’s box with the way you did this, and now the other side has new tools to use when they want to ram legislation through. The pendulum will swing the other way, even you can’t deny that, and when it does I want you to remember everything you said this day about being an obstructionist.
When Obama has to bribe the members of his own party to vote in favor of his Health Care Bill, when they have a super-majority in both houses, thats not opening a can of whoopass on the opposition party, that’s the last an act of desperate man.
Marc, If you spent more time actually watching whats going on in Washington DC, and less time making crapola up, you wouldn’t keep making a fool of yourself with these bogus posts…
This post is a shining example of the whores of the two party system. Divide and conquer. Bad cop, good cop. Wolves in sheep’s clothing and Sheep in Wolves clothing. It’s honestly cute how you genuinely believe that this is nothing more than a power grab that the dems beat the repubs to the punch with. Anyone that cheers at the prospect of government growing larger and getting even more control has obviously never read a history book in their lives.
OK they passed a Stimulus that was full of Pork projects and was ineffective. They took over a year to pass a watered down version of Health care reform. Even though they could have easily passed it except for all their in fighting. So if that’s what you call on a roll then so be it.
Wow, now this is a blog article with a lot of content.
Hey Perkel! Hows that FreeCreditReport thing working out for you? Have you answered any Nigerian 419 letters lately? There’s lots of money to made for not alot of work. Just give them your personal info like you gave to FreeCreditReport.com
My dear Dvorak readers, Marc Perkel is a Troll who cannot make anyone read his blog. He believes he has a “dangerous” mind. Therefore he is forced to come here to offer such gratuitous assertions as this.
I had a friend who devoutly followed his favorite athletes. At one point he informed me Hulk Hogan was ‘growing a pair’ facing Andre the Giant.
Hand Obama a folding chair, its JUST THE SAME…
Hey, Colorado and others who don’t know how to spell! It’s LOSE, not loose. Geez, didn’t you finish 3rd grade?
Did you loose your mind?
The Democrats have YET to grow a pair. We can thank the Democratic party for one of the largest government-sponsored welfare programs supporting private industry – it’s what they like to refer to as “health care reform”.
It’s kind of funny to think that both parties could both simultaneously and so completely fail their constituencies, but it happened.
We have all lost it. The new law is extremely right wing. It favors the corporations. The Republicans only want to obstruct, so they don’t even like a bill that is far right of conservative. The Democrats are congratulating themselves because they got something passed. We are in deep shit.
I think its entertaining to watch videos of OTHER democracies..They throw things and Scream and yell..even FIGHT in their own congress.
we laugh at this, but I would think it would be better IF OUR OWN congress would be as Heart felt enough to STAND UP for the people’ like this.
Take one real good look at pelosi, this is not news she already had a pair.
Marc,
I hate that “grown a pair” analogy — it’s crude and chauvinistic.
I don’t even want to visualize that Nancy Pelosi has a “bigger pair” than Rush Limbaugh, even if true.
Since 911, the GOP have gone full-out with the fear driven agenda. So, it’s no surprise that conservatives are paralyzed with fear and have been reduced to “no” on everything.
This really got highlighed when it was suggested that the 911 terrorists might actually be tried for their crimes.
You had “tough on crime” conservatives terrified that the terrorists might strike again.
In contrast, you had skinny-jeaned punk rockers and high-healed transvestites showing far more intestinal fortitude and the truck-driving red necks.
To begin to have health care “reform” you have to start with making all the health-insurance providers not-for-profit corporations. So this legislation was FAIL from the get-go.
The Dem party is toast now because you can’t force people to buy health insurance. A, it won’t work; and B, the voters will hate you.
out of existance sb existence
allot more than sb a lot more than
special favors and kick backs sb kickbacks
Could someone please explain to me why lobbying works in an environment of overwhelming public outcry as to the parasitic nature of health insurance companies (even though they are a large part of the economy).
Why do you put up with ‘off budget’ economy facism?
Don’t you know today there is no economy that isn’t built on debt?
The revolution is a comin. GOP extremists look around you you are vastly outnumbered in a nation with far too many weaponry of all kinds.
52,
Out rep’s, listen to those that send them letters. The more the letters, the more they THINK someone wants something.
Corps fake, allot of letters and groups. The Lobbyists have tons of letters(mostly fake from corps) of those people they represent.
I think it’s still too early to tell how the mid-term election will go. On the one hand, even a lot of the GOP Congresscritters who voted against everything will have Tea Party primary and main election opponents to split the conservative vote, and people may just possibly maybe perhaps be sick and tired of “NO! NO! NO! DO NOTHING!!!” as a legislative tactic, not to mention voting against their own bills after President Obama came out for them.
But on the other hand, ten million dollars a week can buy a lot of “grass roots.” You may recall the stories from a few weeks back that the insurance lobbies have been spending ten million dollars a week since early October in opposition to health care legislation. And now the financial industry is ready to add their millions to try to avoid any re-regulation or consumer rights bills, followed by the energy companies and their billions in fear of cap-and-trade. Just imagine Tea Party organizers with millions and millions of dollars to spend on advertising, buses, radio programs, direct mail, phone banks, push polls, etc., etc., etc.
It all depends on what happens between now and November. But if the GOP continues just to snipe, bitch and moan and vote NO on everything, they could lose at least a dozen seats.
Or, the Tea Partiers could take every single seat in the House and one third of the Senate and bring on the Apocalypse, as it is written in the Bible. Who knows?
I, too, feel this blog has really gone downhill recently. If I wanted to see homogeneous stories and comments by juvenile liberals, I would be reading Digg. The discussion here used to be slightly more intelligent.
There are still some funny stories once in a while, but the comment section inevitably gets overtaken by people criticizing any and every comment they do not like. Now if only there was a way to filter out comments with Dallas, Fusion, Marc, or for no apparent reason contain “==”, that might be a start.
If the President felt so invigorated by passing this bill into law, why is he on the campaign trail again trying to sell it?
It passed. Everyone is for it. Oh. That’s right. Most voters aren’t for it and/or the way it was passed in the “sausage factory”.
By their own admission, the new law is just not understood. They must convince us – again – they know better. And they will because they are always right.
“You may recall the stories from a few weeks back that the insurance lobbies have been spending ten million dollars a week since early October in opposition to health care legislation.”
Weird. The more they spent the more hell-bent the Democrats were to ram it through.
The “final” bill seems to guarantee insurance company profits and policy sales but not medical care.
I wonder if your confidence in your “knowledge” about the health insurance industry opposing the bill is justified.
“Have the Democrats Grown a Pair?”
Well, they certainly have been brazen.
You think they are going to take credit when the chickens come home to roost?

Will “health care reform” come in at ten times the estimate? We will be lucky if it is only that much.
The hits just keep coming!
Thanks, B.O. !
