looks like Adam and John need to get Red Bull to sponsor the NoAgenda podcast.

  2. SparkyOne says:

#1 jmsiowa agreed, even if just for the whirlybird flight

  3. nyc2malibu says:

“carrot top ” is very annoying spoiled brat , cut your hair hippy !

  4. Nth of the 49th says:

    “rolls eyes”

Bet you CarrotTop2 espouses an environmentalist agenda, unless of course it’s about him.

  5. chuck says:

I’ll give him full credit: he’s an excellent snow-boarder.

And, since he has his own half-pipe, that’s one less snowboarder to cut me off in the lift-line, or crash into the back of me on the ski hill.

I think the only “green” he advocates is BC bud.

  6. Just an old Planker says:

Shaun White represents his sport and culture very well.
Sense I’m sure he reads dvorak.org/blog I say to you “congratulations on a job well done”.

Red Bull made a good buy in endorsing White.

  7. Mr Ed says:

This was there only during the 2008-2009 season, not this year.

Ya might want to Google a current pic of Carrot Top. If you saw what the guy actually looks like now there’s no comparison. He’s become “The Incredible” Carrot Top.

  9. lemonademaker says:

it’s amazing what you can do with Green Screens now a days!!!

  10. Orange says:

We have towns here eliminating public safety jobs. Out of money. Let the houses burn down, we need more pipes. Where’s the ambulance? I called last Tuesday and Tuesday’s gone.

  11. Orange says:

Looks like a street in Pittsburgh. Add kids, cars and a medical chopper and you can have a Snow Ball.

  12. interglacialman says:

This is very cool advertising, however, it just makes me think of how outrageously expensive their cans of fizzy water are.

  13. clancys_daddy says:

Actually he did have his own private half-pipe while preparing for the Olympics this year. It was shown while doing an interview on sixty minutes about two weeks ago. They had to take a helicopter to get there.

  14. AdmFubar says:

we are all living in the “Twilight Zone”…

what and over the top production this is… and for what really??? you sell over carbonated, caffeine water?

    what the hell happened here?

  15. old Planker says:

    AdmFubar #14

Twilight Zone, well maybe but this kind of advertising predates Rod Serling Coca-Cola and Budweiser have been doing this kind of stuff for over a hundred years

  16. Ron Larson says:

The video felt like the opening early scene in Jurassic Park when they fly over to the island/lab to see what wonderful secret is there.

  17. moss says:

90% of y’all probably couldn’t drive into and out of Silverton in mid-winter, anyway.

    Either direction. North or South.

  18. goaty says:

The most over used trailer music ever.

Lux Aeterna (Requiem For a Dream) – composed by Clint Mansell and performed by the Kronos Quartet

Heard in: Requiem For a Dream (original), Hitman, 300, The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, The Da Vinci Code, Sunshine, Zathura, F**king Everything Ever.

  19. McCullough says:

#17. Even I wouldn’t want to attempt it this time of year…and I live just over the “hill”.

Hell, it’s treacherous even in mid summer.

  20. Rick Cain says:

Geez, was Shaun flying the helicopter? I saw his hand moving what looked like a stick.

  21. gern Blanston says:

Agree – he is a great boarder, however, that being the case, he could have trained (or should have been able to train) anywhere. Learn to focus with distractions man! Maybe less caffeine – stop drinking so much Red Bull.

Seems like a lot of fuel to waste for one freaking boarder to train for the Olympics.

    Chicken chicken chicken…

  22. Alex says:

Pretty good advertising campaign by Red Bull…

  23. moss says:

#19 – the worst trip I ever had over Red Mountain Pass was one January where I thought I was being a real smart-ass. I’d made it from Durango to Silverton, OK – and spotted a county hwy department plow heading into the road up and over Red Mountain.

Figured I’d just follow the truck. Guess what? At the top of the mountain, you bump into the county line and the fracking truck turned around and went back.

Those remaining miles down to Ouray took me about 2 hours creeping in 1st and 2nd gear in the Acura I was driving back then.

  24. deowll says:

Okay some body is rich and indulged. They are putting the money back into circulation.
