As an expert on the topic, I’ll weigh in.
The term “Homosexual” conjures up “sex” – which is a taboo topic right there. Adding the derogatory word ‘homo’ and well, you get it..
The term ‘gay’, on the other hand is generally regarded as a human being, not some sex act.
This is why the Christian Taliban, KKK and the rest like to use the term ‘homosexual’! Very simple. The chart basically validates that.
There are many many examples of word play to get sheep to herd in different ways.
Examples:
“American Family Council” – protects our most precious cargo.
“Pacifica Forum” – enables intellectuals to dialogue. Oh, how also precious.
…and the term “homo-erotic” conjures up cage fighters and pro wrestlers.
1083 people interviewed by random phone calls… Way too small number of people self selected by a very biased process (do you answer and participate in random phone polls? I typically hang up on them as soon as they say who they are…). Only scientific conclusion that can be made is that population profile who accepts to participate in a random phone poll is damn stupid or intentionally plays for fun with interviewers (there are always those damn’ teenagers ready for it).
You must known population before poll and know that its profile on various aspects fits the nation in many ways to dare make any conclusions from such small sample.

Besides I’m pretty sure there are homosexuals who don’t engage in “rectum pleasure” and I’m also equally sure that there are heterosexuals who do. You can borrow any 5th graders porno collection if you don’t believe me.
The people who participated in that survey are in extreme danger of getting cardiovascular disease.

Have you ever been anally stimulated? It is quite pleasurable. If you have not, you have no place saying if it was “designed” for sexual pleasure or not. If you ask most gay men, they will tell you it was for sure designed for sexual pleasure!

The Priest of the Catholic school where the 5th grader attends disagrees with you.
Men being gay is fine. Men having sex with other men is disgusting. Men having sex with women should be in public. Men having sex with animals is normal for countries that don’t like the US. Osama bin Laden having sex with a functioning blender should be part of his punishment.
I had a teacher in grade 5. Mr Dodd was his name. He was as gay as a handbag full of rainbows. Kind of ironic.
another problem with this poll is the word “favor”. Many people are tolerant, but favor?
I think the question should have been more like “should openly gay men and women have the right to serve — Yes or No.
