One amazing thing is that Power7 clusters share a global memory space. This means that you can program a cluster like it is a single system with no message queuing between processors. It’s really useful for computationally intense modeling.
Apple should have stuck a couple of USB ports on the thing, done flash, and allowed you to get a 160 gig or 250 gig drive as a an option for a reasonable price.
As it is the machine seems a bit to crippled compared to a netbook at about the same price point on the low end.
For what the higher end version costs you can get a good laptop. If you are looking at price versus performance this thing doesn’t come off at all well.

Funny thing is that the low end ipad costs less than the origional iphone?
I’ve not tried Win7 yet. Does it thrash the hard drive like Vista does? Seems to me that alone would be enough to finish off an old battery that had only known XP.
