Hilarious- great find!!!
I’m waiting for Hitler’s response to John C Dvorak’s response.
RBG
The best bloody article about the iPad!
Awesome. Despite the typos, the best one yet.
Is it wrong to see eye to eye with a murderous dictator?
Starting to feel like being Rick Rolled.
John, you’re having way too much fun!
Worst one yet. Not funny, too many non-specific subtitles.
The more I see of the iPad the more convinced I am that the chinese will produce something in that form factor but with all the functions of a netbook with cellphone and wifi. The iPad will still sell to that elitist crowd that considers apple a sign of status.
I guess I’ll just have to wait 6 months or so.
I’m anxious to see how long it will take to end up on hackaday.
I’m sure the iPad 3GS will be much better when they announce it next year.
It’s idiotic to brand a product elitest because you get what you pay for and it actually works.
Of course now people are wondering if iPhone OS 4.0 will have multi-tasking and take care of this problem when they roll out the next iPhone this summer. Apple using OS 3.2 for the iPad now since OS 4.0 isn’t ready.
Oh, I think I get this joke. Hitler is very angry. And he used to be a very scary man. He had many thousands of people killed ruthlessly. That specific combination conveys the idea that someone is extremely disappointed. So whenever someone is dissatisfied with something, they make the Nth version of that old Youtube hit with modified subtitles to suit the nature of the dissatisfaction at hand. The subtitles don’t even have to be funny in any creative way. They just need to rant, the image on screen makes the rant look funny. People see it for the Nth time, but with different subtitles, and say it’s “hilarious”. Ok, I really think I get it. Ha, it’s hilarious!
Apple products are NOT overpriced and they are NOT elitist. You do get a better quality product which can be matched for cheaper on the windows/linux side only if you have enough knowledge and time to do the upkeep yourself. This upkeep amounts to zero for the macbook my brother gave me but substantial for the windows XP systems I otherwise run. People value their time and might save substantial amounts on a Mac.
I know I should be tired of this Der Untergang(Downfall) meme in all it’s variations…but damn it, if I still don’t get a kick out of them!
Is this “Hitler responds to _____” a new Internet meme?
Yeah, that macbook air was a screaming value.
Ok, folks… wait till you get your hands on one, and sit down with it and play around…
Then come back here and tell us what you think.
I touched it and I can’t wait to get one…
Sorry to burst your bubble!
I don’t think that’s what he’s really saying.
#16,
No he has a point. The iPad is the finest digital picture frame money can buy.
All the sweaty emotionalism regarding Apple, both pro and con… It’s like listening to greatest hits of the ’80s.
#14 – Yup. It’s funny.
People who actually speak German must not find these so funny. Thankfully, my languages do not include German.
Oh, yeah. The iPad? Underwhelming. Only the “true believers” will buy one. I was only more disappointed by Balmer’s failure to release the Courier.
LOL So much funny!
The humor does not come from Hitler. The humor comes from the sad truth of what is being said. I own an iPhone and iPod Touch and I think the iPad is a joke.
Slightly OT: John, re Cranky Geeks. I thought “no flash” refers to “flash memory.” The iPad has no flash memory capability like SD, not no “flash animation” etc capability (& certainly not referring to a camera flash). Am I wrong?

Glaciergate
A relatively tame Hitler parody video
“As chief operating officer for the cabal of Billionaires who control the global warming scam, Hitler quickly realizes the long range implications of “Glaciergate”.”
So, I guess if you make a bigger iPod Touch that you end up with a MaxiPad.
Sad. Everyone was hoping for a Mac tablet. What a wasted opportunity. Apple aimed too low with this one. Maybe they will correct it in the near future.
I read paperbacks but isn’t the Ipad VERY MUCH BETTER than the Kindle for only $10 more?
Why not complain it doesn’t make cappuccino?
Bobbo (I’m never gonna grow up) – Of course, I haven’t seen or used the IchaPod but the Kindle will be a much better read since reflective screens are much kinder to the eyes than transmissive screens. Plus, they claim it has only ten hours battery life which, of course will probably end up closer to five or six. I don’t have a Kindle either but they say it’s nice and light and easy to hold in one hand whereas the Pad is pretty heavy. I have to say, I’m pretty disappointed. I’m not an Apple fan but I really do want something better than a netbook but lesser than notebook for my travels. I was really expecting something new from Apple. Instead, you got a larger Touch. Still locked into Apple apps. Still locked into AT&T but NO PHONE??? No camera. I predict failure.
