Microsoft-Apple-AT&T trifecta against the Google-T-Mobile-Verizon merger. Let the bloodbath begin.

  9. The DON says:

Best way to set up a router is:
step 1: Throw any manufacturers disc away
step 2: Connect all cables and power on
step 3: Use browser to goto IP address of router (can be found using IPconfig)

All the settings are in front of you
You should never have to use a router CD! They usually mess things up trying to be helpful.

  10. CrankyGeeksFan says:

    John,

Even though your router appears to be working, it may not have encryption turned on; is visible (broadcasting the SSID) to other users i.e. neighbors; or is using the default network name.

In any case it’s a security risk.
