Was it last january, or two years ago that blu-ray “won” the format war?

I guess its too late to have its blow out season this xmas.

Why does it still have that tiny section in the back of block buster? Why have big box retailers simply removed the format from their selection?

So… apple getting bad at keeping secrets…

Also, computerworld.com is down. That must reflect on the poor reliability of the operating system they chose to host their web site.

    uhm they making this??????!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. LtSiver says:

Well, if they do call it the iPad, they’ll get sued by Fujitsu.

iNfairness, Apple used to be a design school. I loved the company and the products, Jobs (and that ankle Brit) lent a cultural value to the product that was worth it’s weight in patronage gold. Now, I can’t custom them, patronize or promote their gear on creative merit. The intellectual base is gone, now they’re selling meat – not pate.

John, there’s nothing new about people predicting earthquakes. In fact we’ve even gotten very good about knowing where they are most likely to occur. Timing on the other hand still eludes us.

The players are way down in price but how are the selling?

  7. deowll says:

I can only note blue ray players continue to sale and the price of the players now seem to be more or less reasonable but people aren’t all that wild about the price of the disks. Unless the video is fantastic, breath taking, etc…

The prices seem to be coming down, still…

A lot of people seem to be willing to give it a pass maybe because the DRM makes it a bleep to work with. I could hook one up to my tv but there is no way I can hook one up to my 30 inch super high def computer monitor. I’m not going to purchase a new one of those any time soon.
