1. bhavekost says:

    Typical.

  2. Father says:

If Gore had cheated on his wife, and he didn’t want to talk about it, then fair enough.

But he has helped start a World Wide shift in economic policy that I contend will impact the poor and middle classes while leaving the rich unmolested. If Gore can’t answer any questions any time they are posed outside of a staged event, especially questions of the nature JimR enumerated earlier today on this blog, then I have to conclude that this Global Warming claim is without merit whatsoever.

I want a full explaination, and I want it now Mr. Gore!

  3. KMFIX says:

This guy needs to stop being so shocked and surprised when someone doesn’t talk to him. Gore wasn’t talking to anyone else, or taking questions. Give your bitching a break..

And seriously, what is up with all this climate crap on this site lately? Or is this turning into John’s Conspiracy Corner . COM!?!?

  4. TTHor says:

    It is coming apart now.

European media is increasingly reporting of Climategate; the trickery making the Medieval Warm Period disappear; hiding the actual cooling period we been in since 2001.

The Lord Monckton lecture at St. Pauls is enlightening indeed, and mind you, this was before the Climategate erupted…

  5. TTHor says:

#3 Good morning. Time to wake up. Reality check.

But no wonder you ask, US media has nothing about this so involuntary ignorance spurs irritation. Easily understood.

In short: the world is about to make the most important decision ever, effecting you and generations to come, politically, structurally, financially and not the least, individually. So no conspiracy here. This is reality… And since this is smelling more and more of a political hoax, it is wise to shed light on opposing angles to the issue, don’t you think?

  6. Wretched Gnu says:

“Mr. Gore, can you explain why you give more credence to the majority of actual scientists in the world than you do to uninformed douchebags??”

    “We demand answers, Mr. Gore!”

  7. jccalhoun says:

This is just getting tiresome. Please lighten up on the climate change stuff. This isn’t even interesting. It is just one random guy not getting his question answered.

  8. Wretched Gnu says:

Who has more financial investment in the global warming question?:

    A) 95% of the world’s climate scientists

    B) Big industry

    Now that’s a *poser*!…

  9. ScotterOtter says:

My God!! This video changes everything!! Did you see how he couldn’t answer the question? He just ran off. I’m now convinced that global warming is a fraud, thank you for showing me the way!

  10. Pmitchell says:

I find it a sad day when the European press is doing the hard hitting expose and going out and asking the hard questions on global warming while the American ( supposedly freest press in the world ) is sitting silent with their thumbs up their collective asses because of their political views or more like making their political friends look bad.

What ever happened to finding the truth no matter who it what?

  11. Crazy Smart says:

“…then I have to conclude that this Global Warming claim is without merit whatsoever.”

While I on the other hand will just go with what 99% of the scientist say. Not what ANY one or two say, not what any ONE college or institution claims, but what the summation of thousands of papers from hundreds of institutions passed through peer reviewed journals indicates.

You and the other anti-evolution or anti-climate change folks ARE free to base your global warming view on hatred for another political party, an individual or make your decision based on magic. It’s a free country. But like in the “debate” on evolution or if the world is round or flat, I’ll go with what 99% of the scientists say, even if you can pull out ONE on Art Bell or from Exxon that says the earth is flat and global warming is caused by cows.

  12. bobbo, Listen Ma, just LISTEN says:

So, what was the question? I could hear everything except “the subject.” What was claimed to be ten years old but was only two months?

It is interesting. The IPCC Climate Change Model: is it DESTROYED BY or forgiven an inconsequential anomaly that it did not predict (and gain credence thereby) for missing the current cold snap? And is there actually a current cold snap???? I see evidence and statements on both sides but not a definitive study.

How do we know what we know and how do we change our minds?

  13. Father says:

Crazy- you haven’t watched the Lord Monckton video have you?

How smart are you if you don’t review the evidence, especially the evidence that refutes your claim that “thousands” of scientists (really only 4 total) have shown that AGW exists?

  14. cgp says:

Just grabbed the following. Boy oh boy, we are seeing the emergence of some truely deluded nutter extremists who have a tiny grasp of the current reality.

Major cornerstones of the declaration include: “a complete abandonment of fossil fuels within the next 30 years’ including specific five-year deadlines”; “recognition, payment and compensation of climate debt for the overconsumption of atmospheric space and adverse effects of climate change on all affected groups and people”; “a rejection of purely market-oriented and technology-centred false and dangerous solutions such as nuclear energy, agro-fuels, carbon capture and storage”; and “real solutions to climate crisis based on safe, clean, renewable, and sustainable use of natural resources, as well as transitions to food, energy, land, and water sovereignty”.

  15. LDA says:

    #12 bobbo

“What was claimed to be ten years old but was only two months?”

    ‘ClimateGate’ e-mails I believe.

  16. cgp says:

Regarding the video. What the hell did you expect! The man is walking from A to B and you should know that he never engages in random unscripted/unapproved conversations. It is just too dangerous for his image and agenda

  17. coolismo says:

if i was an editor i’d spike this incident, only a hack will try to ask a question in those circumstances,ie with his subject on the move: he’s a papparazi type who knows his shocked face with his broken mike will play on youtube.

  18. bill says:

    What a tool.

  19. Cursor_ says:

    TThor & Father

“Monckton has referred to himself as a “peer of the House of Lords” but is not a member of that body. Monckton was an unsuccessful candidate for a Conservative seat in the House of Lords in a March 2007 by-election caused by the death of Lord Mowbray and Stourton. He received no votes in the election.”

If he cannot be ethical and forthright about it he makes himself unreliable.

  20. Ralph, the Bus Driver says:

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and National Space and Aeronautical Administration in the US and the Japanese Meteorological Society are also investigating man made climate change. Independently they have come to the same conclusions as the Climate Research Unit at East Anglia University. That is four groups, all independent that have come to the same conclusion. Regardless of what you want your “climategate” to show.

The IPCC is composed of several hundred scientists of various but relevant disciplines. Some know each other, most don’t or didn’t. No, they are not rock hunters, or macro-economists or anthropologists. They are earth scientists. Their message is inconvenient, but relevant.

All of these researchers have discounted the criticism from the deniers with science facts. Yet the deniers continue to question things already answered or irrelevant. They make claims that have no base in reality. They fudge figures and math with abandon. And feel no guilt in doing so.

As I asked on another thread, is there ANY recognized group that does not support man made climate change? Well, other than the Tea Baggers or Birthers.

  21. Ralph, the Bus Driver says:

    To the idiot reporter,

Next time, in a scrum, don’t let someone else step on your mike cord. You might want to try a cordless mike, they are inexpensive and much safer.

  22. Ralph, the Bus Driver says:

    More for the idiot reporter,

Those are Danish police, not UN security guards.

  23. amodedoma says:

Well duh, there are an army of reporters there and this guy is whining because they weren’t interested in talking to him personally. Poor little retard, somebody should’ve explained to him where and when the press conferences were to be given, or maybe he could’ve looked up Mr. Gore’s press secretary. Another inconvenient question, looks more like the questioner that’s been inconvenienced, and even that’s his own stupidity. Paparazzi try this trick all the time and it only works if the the person questioned responds.

  24. Tyrant says:

Michael Moore made a career out of ambush questioning and getting snubbed.

  25. Wretched Gnu says:

Apparently Dvorak, in his dotage, has handed the blog over to his 13-year-old nephew Cherman. This site is making the Fox Breakfast Club look like the McLaughlan Group…

  26. gmknobl says:

Again for you denialists, Seven answers to the Climate Contrarian Nonsense (and it is non-sense)!

It isn’t the sun, the earth isn’t cooling since ’98 (or name your year), it is not just a natural cycle, hokey puck chart hasn’t been disproved, and more, all answered here for you, except those who refuse to listen to reason nor understand real science.

  27. SparkyOne says:

Al should stay home and give it to Tipper in the ass instead of the public.

  28. Mr. Fusion says:

    #25, Tyrant,

Michael Moore made a career out of making films about those who abuse society to their own benefit.

  29. testtubebaby says:

I’ve heard over and over again that scientist have the answers. Sorry, they are not the ultimate holders of true.

BTW: 100% of Popes say abortion is wrong.

  30. jman says:

it’s fraud plain and simple, keep defending Gore and you look more and more foolish
