Few people who watch Jon Stewart watch Glenn Beck, so few in the audience even knew he was doing a spot-on parody of Beck and his show. Outrageously great. This ran this past Thursday.

  1. Dallas says:

    Fantastic and hilariousness!!

Stewart does a great job emulating that tool, Beck.

  2. MikeN says:

Stewart’s raised his game lately. He did a subtle takedown of Al Gore in his interview. If he keeps that up, people will call him a climate change denier.
All he has left is to add in a bit similar to his one on Bush talking about what would happen if we did not invade Iraq. Only this time it is with Obama talking about if the stimulus doesn’t pass. ‘Double digit unemployment and another 5 million jobs lost’.

    Joe Scarborough does Keith Olbermann.

  4. mcosmi says:

Stewart, the liberal mouthpiece who discounts real news by mockery. Sure, everyone who questions the govt is crazy right? Keep your John Stewart, I will keep FOX news, the only semi legit news available.

  5. atmusky says:

#4 – I have to be kidding me right? You do know that Jon Stewart is on Comedy Central and it is not a news program or in any way presented as such (if you are still clueless its comedy).

If not maybe you should get your head out of your a**.

Also just for the record Glenn Beck’s show isn’t a news program and also isn’t presented as such. It is an opinion show – no requirement to be based in any facts at all.

  6. deowll says:

It is remarkable how many people claim they don’t like Beck while watching the show on a regular bases.

Beck plays the clown but his numbers are solid and enough to scare the pee out of anyone with a working brain.

That does leave out the so called progressives. Nanny state/ the government runs everything and controls every aspect of your life slave state fans.

I think it is funny that Obama admires Lincoln who freed the slaves while working hard to make slaves of every American by having the government assume control of every aspect of everybody’s life.

  7. LDA says:

Slightly intelligent people making fun of less intelligent people. Classic.

This man knows how to entertain acolytes.

  8. bill says:

    EMMY AWARD!

Best stuff I have seen on TV for a log time.
Thank the dude we can still laugh!

So, it seems you are endorsing the technical style of reasoning of the parody, or am I wrong?

  10. qb says:

Here it is for all you folks in Canuckistan. BTW, Don Cherry would kick Glenn Beck’s ass.

  11. The0ne says:

Great skit, passed it along to my co-workers yesterday 🙂

  12. The0ne says:

    #4 Idoit troll, enough said.

#6 Those who dislike Beck and others but STILL watches them are vodoo-ed charmed. They have no brains to speak of any longer and thus are no longer consider living. They are in fact a type of zombie breed but a tad dumber. There is no other explanation.

  13. Mr. Fusion says:

Stewart’s attempt at lunacy is obviously faked while Beck’s is the real thing.

  14. Mr Ed says:

Nobody with an ounce of sense takes Beck seriously. Unfortunately, that means a good portion of the population has no sense. I think we already knew that.

  15. Faxon says:

John Leibowitz, you mean. The guy who is ashamed he is Jewish. Jerk.

  16. gal416 says:

    #13

You’re absolutely right! Glenn Beck’s show is not an attempt at lunacy, it’s real lunacy.

  17. jccalhoun says:

“John Leibowitz, you mean. The guy who is ashamed he is Jewish. Jerk.”
    You mean Jon Stuart Leibowitz.
He has talked about how his real name isn’t “stewart” more than once and talks about how Jewish he is all the time. I don’t see how he is any more ashamed of being Jewish than any of the other people in the entertainment industry who changed their last name. Is Tom Mapother ashamed of his heritage because he changed his name to Cruise? Is Demetria Guynes ashamed of hers because she goes by Demi Moore? Or Marion Morrison aka John Wayne?

  18. MikeN says:

    >Nobody with an ounce of sense takes Beck seriously.
So why did Van Jones resign?

  19. cwitzel says:

    We are doomed!
Wingnuts get crazy about a parody of a wingnut.
It’s comedy! I think he did a great job.
I don’t get my news from Comedy Central, and nobody should get their news from Beck either. He is an entertainer, he isn’t paid to inform, but to entertain.

    We are doomed!

  20. bill says:

ewitzel, No we are saved! Satire and comedy are the best defense against wingnuts! Imagine if there was a Comedy Central or Saturday Night Live or Internet around 1940?
I think things would have been very different for the next ten years!
    Talk about material!!!!!

Didn’t you see “Springtime for Hitler?”

    Stewart was brilliant and courageous.

  21. Uncle Patso says:

    # 6 deowll:
“Beck plays the clown but his numbers are solid and enough to scare the pee out of anyone with a working brain.”

You’re right — the fact that Glenn Beck gets such high ratings does scare the pee out of me…

  22. joaoPT says:

If ever there is a film about Charlie Chaplin, Jon Stewart should be the lead.
    Talk about spittin’ image.
And, no, this is not a jewish thing…they are just very alike.

  23. Ted says:

This is pure genius. When Jon Stewart is a better ‘Beck’ than the original Beck, maybe Beck will become only a fad.

  24. jack says:

#14 “Unfortunately, that means a good portion of the population has no sense.”

I agree with you on that one. That’s why we have Obama.

  25. GetReal says:

#14 “Unfortunately, that means a good portion of the population has no sense.”
I agree with you on that one. That’s why we have Obama.

    ——————-

No, #14. That’s why we had two terms of Bush, and it describes you and those like you perfectly. No sense, no memory, no sense of community with your fellow citizens, and thoroughly brainwashed.

When you lose your job – when your insurance company screws you – when you lose your home, you will probably still blame President (you hate that title for HIM, don’t you) Obama. And you’ll still be wrong.

Then you will run to the government for help; because you will finally and painfully realize that free enterprise capitalism doesn’t give a rats ass about you, and doesn’t have an obligation to give a rats ass about you.

Government, elected by citizens, has that obligation. However, you and your brainwashed ilk have given corporations the rights of citizens (which they are not), and by doing so allowed them to buy politicians of both parties.

Yes, a large portion of the population has no sense.

  26. GetReal says:

Correction, I was refering to #24 (jack) not to #14.

  27. sdfslkfd says:

#22. True. But Charlie Chaplin wasn’t Jewish so how could it have been a Jewish thing?

  28. Gotta admit, that was inspired.
