I’m keener on the straight 6 they used to put in their ‘F’ trucks. That was a honey of a well balanced motor.
As car and driver puts it, the straight-6 is “God’s own engine”. They are ridiculously smooth and capable of huge amounts of power (e.g. Nissan RB25/26 family).
If only they could make it SOUND like a V8. The sexiest sound in the world is a carbureted V8 with a hot cam and steel tube headers idling at a stoplight.

10. Here’s what you’re missing: This (gasoline) engine is a beautiful example of human achievement …and the environmentalists are working overtime to take away the freedom of movement that such a machine provides.
