This guy…

  1. Hmeyers says:

McCain would have been a disaster of epic proportions.

I admit I was not very happy with Obama doing the $700 bln stimulus package and round 2 of bailing out the banks.

But it would have been worse with McCain because I could never figure out if he even had any guiding principles or ideology.

I’d vastly prefer someone with good intentions and an imperfect plan (Obama) over someone with good intentions and no plan at all because no plan means no consistency.

  2. chuck says:

Agreed. The better man won. Unfortunately, the better man still sucks.

  3. jccalhoun says:

    Can’t find a better man…

  4. Wishy Washy whack Job.

Beck said and I am paraphrasing here “ask questions no matter how painful the truth may be.”

Beck discusses fema camps and then puts them down as quackery. Beck dismisses 9/11 truth.

I am wiling to bet that Beck is CIA, part of operation mocking bird. One big confusion clusterfornication to keep the oppositon confused and out of step.

Just like the MKUltra programs biggest success “WoodStock”. Instead of all the youngins driving down to washington to hold up the government with newly purchased rifles until they ended the war. The CIA got the young people to buy german vehicles and drugs and drive to upstate new york. Nothing accomplished. no no mission accomplished.

  5. DA says:

    WOW!

Kudos to Glenn Beck. I’m going to have to start watching him more…

He’s FINALLY talking like the libertarian he has been claiming to be. This morning I heard an audio clip where he APOLOGIZED to libertarians and then AGREED with them about the iraq war and wars in general.

It’s almost like…the past couple days something changed for him…maybe it’s temporary. Maybe he’s still a warmongering interventionist like bush and cheney, the last couple days tells a different story.

If Glenn Beck holds to these stances then I think I found a reason to watch fox news again.

  6. Mister Ed says:

    Clinically insane.

  7. pcsmith says:

McCain would be lost dealing with the current recession.

Hillary is a lighting rod for haters and I doubt she could have beaten McCain. If she would have won, Washington would have moved from gridlock, to petrifaction.

  8. bobbo, liberal, conservative and pragmatic says:

    Ha, Ha.

Glenn Beck is all about Sarah Palin.

This follows the old joke: he’s not against what you are against, he’s FOR something much worse.

    http://newsbusters.org/blogs/noel-sheppard/2009/01/19/glenn-beck-chokes-introducing-sarah-palin-his-new-show

((For some reason, YouTube won’t open up the originals.))

  9. Martfin says:

So let me get this straight, a second Fox News commentator comes out in support of Obama or an Obama policy in one week. I smell a rat, a Rupert Rat I’m thinking. About 14 years ago when the whole of the UK was tired of the Conservative government, the number one selling UK newspaper, The Sun changed it’s support to the Labour party and Tony Blair. So am I seeing a Rupert swing in favor of Democrats????

  10. Faxon says:

Oh god. I tried to watch, but it’s that dumb bitch, and I just couldn’t get past three seconds of it.

  11. Hugh Ripper says:

    #9 Martfin

Who would want to support the Republicans? They have been subverted by talking heads like Beck and Limbaugh, who are really just stirring up the nutjobs into a frenzy to fill their own wallets.

  12. Beck In the USSR says:

Rush had his moments on the national stage too. TV goes to the loudest noise, not the brightest light. Beck’s act has already worn thin, and soon another shiny sparkly will get the attention of the vidiots, leaving Mr. Beck with a limited set of loonies to entertain.

  13. Named says:

    5 DA and the rest,

” This morning I heard an audio clip where he APOLOGIZED to libertarians and then AGREED with them about the iraq war and wars in general.

It’s almost like…the past couple days something changed for him”

What changed? Oh, he lost most of his advertisers, thats all.

There is lots more than this reference too.

    Follow the money.

  14. Named says:

    15, AlfredETerrorist,

Wow. That’s a whole list of conjecture. Is there anything else useless you can pull out of your ass that’s not your head?

    Bingo…

  16. Troublemaker says:

Beck’s every utterance is designed to generate controversy and buzz. I take little stock in anything that he says. He has no convictions whatsoever. He just says whatever he thinks he needs to say, and whatever agenda his masters want him to push, to make as much money for himself and his masters.

  17. qb says:

The only person Beck hates more than Obama is himself.

  18. jccalhoun says:

    We wouldn’t have $3.00 gas
Where is there $3.00 per gallon gas?
http://forbes.com/feeds/reuters/2009/09/21/2009-09-21T211012Z_01_N21284533_RTRIDST_0_USA-GASOLINE-PRICE.html “U.S. gasoline prices have fallen for the sixth consecutive week with the pump price off more than $1 a gallon from a year ago, the Energy Department said Monday.”

  19. Traaxx says:

What a bunch of dips and morons, so Beck is the topic of discussion?

If McCain had been elected he would have gone along with the congressional agenda and the congressional Rebulicrats would have had to support him or attack their own president, now they don’t have a conflict of interest in attacking the policies of Presidend Hussein.

The policies of President Hussein and Manchurian McCain are not that disparate, in the end they both lead to the same ocean through different rivers, Totalitarian Double Think Monarchies.

Wake up the dark ages approach, and everyone is sleep walking into them. Now that our jobs are gone, our money and with it the power to influence our politicians go with it………leaving China?

    Whatever………………………..
    Traaxx

  20. Hmeyers says:

Alfred, is this John McCain you are speaking of highly the same one we have in this world or some magical John McCain from a cartoon?

McCain always talks process and about Washington insider culture issues and things about rules about campaign finance or veterans benefits.

And then he’d get asked a question about the economy or economics and would have no clue and get mad at the reporter and accuse the reporter of trying to embarrass him.

McCain is pretty damn incompetent really — even for a Senator.

  21. qb says:

Cool graph of historical gasoline prices, plus adjusted for inflation.

Saudia Arabia Proven Reserves: 262,700,000,000 barrels
    US Proven Reserves: 22,450,000,000 barrels

Let’s assume SA is overstating so say 180,000,000,000 barrels to be really punitive.

Let’s also assume that US isn’t overstating. For the US let’s add the Outer Continental Shelf, the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge in Alaska, and federal land in the Rockies. Let’s be optimistic and say that adds 8,000,000,000 barrels. That would give 30,450,000,000 barrels.

  22. Chris Mac says:

Vietnam couldn’t kill McCain. But I bet the presidency would have. He’s lucky he lost.

  23. echeola says:

I really don’t think this guy really believes anything. He just says stuff. Sometimes he thinks about it, sometimes he doesn’t. All in all he’s a nutter.

  24. Awake says:

As I have been saying all along, Beck is an empty shell of a clown that will say anything and do anything in order to forward his career. He is a man with no principles.
Beck lost all his major advertisers. Except for the right wing fringe and those that tune in to laugh at his idiotic ravings, he is being cornered into a limited audience, in the process losing all his credibility.
So now Beck, as expected and predicted, will try to start appealing to more moderate audiences.
I have been listening to Beck for about 7 years, since he was a nobody on radio. The man has no principles, he will say and do ANYTHING in order to increase his ratings. America only knows his latest incarnation, the Fox News version. He will change his whole line if his ratings can improve or if what he is saying affects his real bottom line: money.

  25. qb says:

Silly me, I used world bank numbers for proven reserves and exploratory estimates. I should have used stardust from a Joni Mitchell song.

  26. Awake says:

    #32 QB

Silly you… you are trying to use figures that have a scientific source when trying to refute claims from the right wing equivalent of The Onion. Next WND will announce that there is no need to worry about hunger because some guy states that the moon is made of cheese, and Alfred1 will use it as a linked reference.

ALfred1, will you at least visit Wikipedia and educate yourself at least a little about what a hydrocarbon and an organic compound is before making stupid claims… ooooppps… my bad… I asked you to educate yourself, and I should have remembered that that is against your religion… my apologies for my religious insensitivity.

  27. Chris Mac says:

You should prolly be using oil and gas from canada.. o right.. we’re #3!

  28. soundwash says:

delete both parties and start fresh
    with a single constitutional party.

    there is no other way.

  29. tc says:

    #33 Awake

To alfred1, exploding stars spewing hydrocarbons (presumably within the last 6000 years) is not beyond the realms of scientific reason 😉

  30. Dr Dodd says:

John McCain should never have been the Republican candidate. He was the weakest of the bunch which is why the media kept pushing him as the best choice.

As much as he crossed the aisle he might as well have been a Democrat. Just like Obama and Hillary, McCain is not presidential material.

The last election only offered voters the worst of the worst.
