So I went to the Ford showcase yesterday and saw the company’s variation of a turbo-charger. I got the chief engineer of the Taurus SHO to try to explain it. It apparently adds 102 HP without affecting fuel economy.

According to Ford, SHO stands for Super High Output, not SHOgun. Although the first iteration did have a Yamaha-built engine, according to at least one website.

  2. Steve says:

Ok Ford comes up with an idea. Finally When their stockis at 7.00 per share, the begin to wake up. I have have 3 Ford Taurus cars from my company. THey where all junk. Transmissions that failed and everything brakes. I am sure this will be just like all the other Fords. Eco boost will become eco brakes. THe Japanese which I am no fan of has slaughtered the big three.

  3. Daddy says:

Hahaha…most know turbos suck…supercharges are more efficient. Turbos coupled with diesel motors work a bit better due to better grade of oil use. Research turbos and u will be see. Good luck….I wouldn’t touch one.
