1. Silk says:

This guy needs a pellet gun for his birthday.

  2. earlwallace says:

Eventually the squirrel will start to return to its original nature and bite the everloving heck out of this guy!

  3. Turing Machine says:

you can get 10 quid for shooting Squirrel round here only gray one’s mind you.

  4. bobbo, we all have that nuturing side says:

FYI–having raised a lot of rats==some take to be hand fed treats very well but others generalize that behavior to biting fingers thinking it is food. Seems to me a slight majority would bite, but maybe I remember the bites more than the smarter ones.

Unless you a sure squirrels don’t act like rats in that way, I’d keep food in the feeder and only handle them for that good healthy man love you are enjoying now.

  5. denacron says:

When dogs get ‘frisky’ they go for your leg. Give this little guy a few more weeks and he will want to give your thumb some love.

Fun vid, I miss the red squirrels that I have raised.

  6. Jägermeister says:

Nice video, Mom… sorry, Marc. 😀 How long until he’ll move out?

  7. Buzz says:

    The part they cut out:

“Ouch! Jesus crap, you little bastard! What the… Let go, let GO!”

  8. Marc Perkel says:

I’m expecting it is likely he’ll run off some time in the next week. But I’m trying to heep him around till he’s a little bigger and smarter.

  9. chuck says:

ok, but eventually you are going to have to eat it.

  10. Jägermeister says:

    #9 – Marc

    Hopefully he’ll have a good life. 🙂

  11. noname says:

    What do you feed it?

  12. Dans says:

    Ok, im scared now.

  13. Marc Perkel says:

He’s eating dog milk and peanuts and raisins.

  14. The Don says:

I think that if I were in your position, I would be saying much the same things as you did in your video.
From an outsiders point of view though, it does sound a bit pervy saying “yeah, I’m his mommy, Yeahh”.
Thankyou for sharing this whole event with us though.

  15. Awake says:

We have about a dozen bird houses around our house, so I can relate to enjoying raising critters.

  16. ECA says:

    Wheres my BB gun??

I dont know WHICH squirrel to shoot.

  17. The0ne says:

WTF, 4:37 minutes of this? This seems more like a bad case of prevert-ness than anything but substituting the girl with the squirrel. I was gagging after the minuter of this obsessive petting and talking. Poor little squirrel. He seem to walk to run away but can’t :/

  18. booshtukka says:

#18 No shit :/ This is fucking creepy.

  19. Mr Diesel says:

    Marc,

Don’t take any shit from the others on the site who have a problem with your squirrel.

  20. Miguel says:

We don’t have squirrels here in my country (at least I never saw one), and I’m loving every one of your posts! Keep’em coming!

  21. The0ne says:

Seriously, I’m a pet lover. I’ve raised dogs, cats, birds, fishes and this is even creeping me out. That is just way too much “touching” going on in that video and the poor little squirrel doesn’t seem to enjoy it after the first minute or so.

  22. tecban says:

    Cool video Marc, looks fun.

Meanwhile, a few posters seem to be projecting a bit.

  23. LibertyLover says:

    Coolness, in mass quantities.

  24. Pets are cool says:

I have had a few squires over the years. They learn to knock on the door from the handrail. When I feed them they just sit down next to me and eat. They are very friendly.

  25. Bud says:

I still say squirrels are a good eat!

  26. Professor Johnnycakes says:

OMG… so WHO milked the dog?!?!

  27. Help I'm Trapped says:

WTF!!! Is the squire a prisoner or a detainee? The damn thing is trapped in that cage hanging from the tree. It can’t get out unless the jolly fat man lets him out.

  28. sargasso says:

Marc, ignore the Squirrel Envy, demonstrated by some of the postee’s. We all appreciate the care and thought placed to save and nurture this small wild animal. And as demonstrable proof of man’s deeper maternal instinct, a request for a clinical post, let us know if you experience any unusual personal weight development or symptoms of male lactation.

  29. Marc Perkel says:

This squirrel gets me laid so say what you want.

  30. Mark Derail says:

    #31 hahahahaha

Now to train him to fetch things in exchange for peanuts, like a guy did with crows.
