    It’s been widely known for some time now that the XBox360 has a fantastically high failure rate. I guess Sony was just waiting for the right time — the big price drop of the PS3 — to body slam M$oft to the mat.

    The out selling Ipods in Japan figures. Ipods weren’t made there and nothing stays on top forever.

    How long can something be cool? With a good product and the right marketing maybe forever but it’s not likely.

    I agree that the name is stupid, but than again all the cool names have already been taken, right? Similar to the notion that all possible melodies have been used up and modern music is just a mashup of 10 or 20 old melodies combined in new ways.
