A Florida man born without arms says a bank would not let him cash a check because he could not provide a thumbprint.
That man is Tampa resident Steve Valdez. He says he tried to cash a check from his wife last week at a Bank of America location in downtown Tampa.
He says he presented two forms of identification but was told by the branch manager he’d have to come back with his wife or open an account himself.

In the end, I wish we could setup a TEST for those that represent us in the gov.
I only want those that are intelligent, honorable and book keepers in there. I would LOVE to go back 100-125 years ago in PAYING our reps.

I have been a Credit Union member since 1982, It is the Only way to go… I will admit early on they could only really make Car Loans… but now Offer Full Mortgage Capabiity and all the normal Banking transactions… Credit Card offering etc… The Cost of doing Business with a CU is little and respect you get by being a customer is second to none… And My CU did call me to approve a check one time when I had written a personal check to an individual that wanted to cash my check at my Credit Union… It was a verification that I had written the check… but its all good… I do not have a bad experience to speak of regarding a Credit Union for more than 25 years…. But on the Ohter hand I have plenty of Complaints about the large Comercial bank I use… “Standard and Chartered”… the list is Long… I dumped them flor another bank recently…
