’08 race worker held in damage to Colorado Democratic HQ – The Denver Post — Apparently this character is an operative for the party. I wonder how much of this is going on?

One of two people suspected of shattering 11 windows Tuesday morning at the state Democratic Party headquarters has an arrest record and a history of helping a Democratic political candidate, public records show.

Police said that about 2:20 a.m., 24-year-old Maurice Schwenkler, now in custody, and an at-large accomplice took a hammer to the picture windows displaying posters touting President Barack Obama and his health care reform efforts.

Early Tuesday, Democratic Party chairwoman Pat Waak said the damage to her building in Denver’s art district was a consequence of “an effort on the other side to stir up hate.” She tempered her statement after Schwenkler’s political history was revealed.

“This sounds like the type of Democratic tactic from the left fringe trying to make Republicans look mean-spirited,” Balmer said. “In this case, it blew up in their face. He was caught red-handed.” Schwenkler allegedly tried to conceal his identity while committing the crime by wearing a shirt over his face, a hooded sweat shirt and latex gloves, according to police descriptions.

When a Denver police officer on patrol spotted two people smashing windows, the suspects fled on bicycles.

Schwenkler was arrested after a short foot pursuit, but the other suspect sped away, police Detective Vicki Ferrari said.

This sort of thing makes more sense to me regarding the various protests than actual Republicans being motivated to do anything.

Just another dumbass progressive liberal. San Francisco is full of them. Where’s the news?

  2. Named says:

    33 pedro,

Airport bathrooms are where you find Republican senators. That’s also where you like to hang out for “guidance” I guess. Just because it’s mainstream news that Republican sentators use airport bathrooms for unofficial business is no reason to get touchy. They report, I read. You’re still working on the reading part I realize.

  3. Named says:

    31 Mr. Fusion,

I think that AlfredENewman found a passage in KJV that indicated that Jesus was born in the USA… While it was still a Republic and not a Nazi/Statist/Commie federation like now…

  4. Phydeau says:

#34 Named, you forgot, facts have a well-known liberal bias.

  5. Brian says:

did any of y’all note that this is a “transgendered” person? it’s a lesbian activist. and I’ve known for quite some time that they adopt very questionable tactics to further their causes. there’s a very conservative, low-profile (low READERSHIP) Christian new site that I go to a lot that has seen a recent spike in trolls, and they pop up MOSTLY in the articles against homosexuality.
15 years ago in college, when I was not particularly religious, I was surprised and offended by the LGB “clubs” that would camp out in the quad to further their causes. The lesbians acted like construction workers, getting up to make a show of staring at other women’s butts and issuing catcalls when a hottie (girl) would walk by. Oh, 80% of them did their best to be indistinguishable from the straight GUYS on the quad. y’know….the bull dyke look.
so, do I think it’s coincidence they they have “operatives” doing dirty, underhanded things including breaking the law to make people who are not with them look bad? not even remotely.

  6. Phydeau says:

So, this kid was paid to canvass one time and that makes him a top Democratic operative? Riiiiiiight. And as #27 said, he’s pissed off at the Democrats for their stand on trans-gender issues (whatever that is; does anyone know their stand?)

The local Democratic leader responded to the vandalism by blaming their biggest and most obvious enemy, the Republicans.

Not much of a story here, but the Republican noise machine is expert at making chicken salad from chicken shit.

  7. Uncle Don says:

Wouldn’t surprise me, though, if this guy was actually a Republican wanting to get caught red-state-handed.

  8. stopher2475 says:

#11 Going door to door for a candidate for $500 bucks is hardly the smoking gun. This is a job lots of college kids to to make some extra cash. I did this in college. I couldn’t even tell you who it was for. They post for these type of 1 day jobs all the time on the school bulletin boards. For me at the time, it was a quick way to get some spending money.

  9. Weary Reaper says:

#8 John C Dvorak (or whoever)

#2 How do you know THIS is an exception?

Ummm, maybe because I don’t read about this kind of thing, every single day of the week, on this blog?

Why would you think this ISN’T an exception?

  10. Timuchin says:

Yes they went to college; that’s where they learned to use this “black propaganda” trick against the non-Marxists.

And Rep. Pete Stark, D-Calif. declared today that the liberal Democrats are ‘brain dead,’ as opposed to the Marxist Democrats.

  11. Phydeau says:

#43 thanks for our daily dose of cliches and mindless drivel, little pedro. 🙂

  12. Named says:

    43 pedro,

Ahhh.. nothing useful to add again. I think you need to go back to public school and take Reading and Comprehension 1. Maybe start with The Very Hungry Caterpillar and write a report on what you’ve learned. Take your time. It will be very difficult for you.

BTW, have you met with Ted Haggart for some religious healings yet? He might be able to help you with your delusions of intelligence and wit… and closet homosexuality of course! Standard Republican problems it seems.

  13. Benjamin says:

So the vandalism was done by a woman who lives life as a man and worked on a Democrat campaign. Just how is this Republicans fault? The Republicans should be given an apology.

  14. bobbo, the truth is so simple says:

None of this is relevant or even interesting if we just

VOTE ALL INCUMBENTS OUT OF OFFICE!!!

((Was it good for you too?))

    Makes a wonderful private mantra.

  15. bobbo, ok, I can't ignore it says:

“This sort of thing makes more sense to me regarding the various protests than actual Republicans being motivated to do anything.” //// What does this mean? Do the permutations. I think “the norm” is just the opposite.

NORMALLY things are just as they seem.

Who are the birthers?–Repugs, wingnuts, Dems, Independents?

Who are the tea-baggers?—-Repugs, wingnuts, Dems, Independents?

Who do the Swiftboaters send their talking points to?—–Repugs, wingnuts, Dems, Independents?

Which party has Majority Power and which party has lost it?——Repugs, wingnuts, Dems, Independents?

Some things are kinda obvious. If it ain’t obvious to you, then a whole new thread is more relevant. How far does bias, trusting nature, uncritical thinking go before you are just f8cking nuts?

  16. badtimes says:

It looks like a more accurate heading would be “Anarchist smashes Democratic Party HQ.”
Pat Waak’s initial statement shows an intemperate rush to judgement- as does JCD’s statement preceding the article.

  17. Obamaforever says:

    From: Obamaforever
    To: Mr. Dvorak
    To: Mr. Fusion

Dear John: I believe that the reason for posting this story is that you are still upset about losing all that money when Obama won the election. True?

Mr. Fusion: Thank you for your post #21. If you take a good long look at “Maurice” you will see that “Maurice” does not have even a hint of a beard. Can we say “transgender”?

I believe that Maurice worked for the Democrats so people would think he/she was a Democrat. She/he did damage to the Democrat HQ because he/she wanted people to think it was done by Republicans.

The title of the story should read ‘Maurice Schwenkler, a Transgender and a Member of a Radical Gay, Lesbian, Transgender Group, Smashes Democrat HQ to Make GOP Look
    Bad’.

Maurice is not a Democrat or Republican. He/she is a member of Bash Back.

Yes, the title is long but it is factual while Mr. Devorak’s title is not.

    Mr. Dvorak, please do better.

  18. Obamaforever says:

    From: Obamaforever
    To: all

Sorry for the look of my post #51. It seems that I need to make my sentences shorter when I use Word.

    Thank you

  19. Mr. Fusion says:

    #51, Obamatroll,

If you take a good long look at “Maurice” you will see that “Maurice” does not have even a hint of
    a beard.

So what? Many men don’t have facial hair. We use these things called “razors”, …

I believe that Maurice worked for the Democrats so people would think he/she was a Democrat.

So you don’t know but will pull some bullshit out your ass anyway. It is irrelevant why he worked for the Democrats.

    Mr. Devorak, please do better.

Please learn to spell the owner of this blog and editor of this piece. I know it isn’t the most common name and may be spelled a little funny, but it is right in front of you. Surely you can do a little better.

  20. Dr Dodd says:

I see that Obama and Schwenkler have one thing in common. They both throw like a girl, but it seems only one can hit a target.

  21. Obamaforever says:

    From: Obamaforever
    To: Mr.(Con)Fusion

Thank you for the kind words. I stand corrected on the spelling of “Dvorak”.

Now for the rest of it.

It is “Obamaforever” and not “Obamatroll”, O.K. retard.

If you can show me that Maurice is 100% male I stand corrected if not, until then, shut-up!!! Screw your razors!!

If you think that it is irrelevant that Maurice worked for the Democrats then you do not understand what is going on here.

Maybe you can donate to Dvorak the amount of money that Dvorak lost on Obama’s win. In this way we will not have to read stories like this again

Mr. Fusion, you and I are off to a great start. Let the games begin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  22. Greg Allen says:

For Dvorak to call him an “operative” is guilt-by-insinuation that would make Joseph McCarthy proud.

    >> pedro said, on August 27th, 2009 at 7:34 am
    >> So, lefty loons have been had and now they’re bitching about it. Nothing new, really.

_A_ lefty loon. How do you know he wasn’t pissed off at a scolding he got from his boss?

Why can’t conservatives ever argue an issue on it’s truth — rather than their cynical spin?

  23. noname says:

    # 11 John C Dvorak

“I cited you would have run into this sentence: “Schwenkler received $500 in November 2008 to walk door-to-door in support of Democrat”

More likely he did this for the money, not the politics. Does that make him a Democrat, a opportunist or a capitalist??

I think, # 13 Named answered the above question well.

    **********************************************

    # 12 Ah_Yea said,
“Her instant assumption that this was a republican hate crime.”

I will agree with you on that one point. Your other comments are B.S.

    # 9 Named

“These two should get a room.”

    # 19 jccalhoun

“Republicans would never do such a thing. They just cut themselves…”

Both are very correct, #9 was just a little more eloquent.

Where was John C. Dvorak Republican self-righteousness, umbrage when this was posted originally,
B Girl – Attack was FAKE!

    ***********************************************

    # 26 Skeptic

“John’s intellectually dishonest assertion is not much different that much of the other “up is down, right is wrong” newspeak currently spewing forth from rightwing operatives of all stripes, and it is decidedly unhelpful when trying to carry on a legitimate political discussion.”

In this instance # 26, describes John C. Dvorak quite well, another intellectually dishonest Republican.

  24. Greg Allen says:

Is seems like John has fully transitioned from cranky geek to crazy geezer.

  25. noname says:

    # 59 pedro,

“Curious, I read post #57 and all I can see is “Buaaaaah, buaaaaah” written ad libitum.”

Sorry, no one ever said you could read.

I can hear your realization from here.

  26. looknoclothes says:

Just take this simple test…reverse the situation.

If Republican headquarters were attacked by a person who had worked for Republican campaigns, or indeed had any connection at all to any faction of the Right, DemTards would consider this proof positive of a false flag operation (probably followed by dark hints that this sort of operation would have to have been approved at the highest levels).

You would consider it laughable that it could be anything but a right-wing loony.

But this makes it obvious that there are violent loonies on the left as well, so DemTards are nitpicking about the fact that it was not waving a Democratic Party Membership card when it broke the windows. Now it’s just an opportunist, chasing after money…which makes it look capitalist, and capitalism is a Republican virtue…ergo, the Republicans are to blame after all! Obamian logic at its best.

It should only be a matter of time before the Justice Department orders the investigation dropped lest anything embarrass Dear Leader.

  27. noname says:

    # 61 looknoclothes,

    I see what you mean.

Maybe you can help me. I seem to remember a similar incident, I believe it was called ..uhm..yeh, that’s right..WATERGATE.

Something about Republican headquarters being broke into, or maybe it was the Democratic headquarters.

Yeah, I do remember now; it definitively was the Democratic headquarters broken into by some plumbers in DC.

Why some plumbers had to break in after hours seems odd.

Somehow those bad Democrats said it was the Republican Presidents fault.

Why would it be the Republican’s Presidents fault? It’s not like he called the plumbers at night to fix a toilet, right.

I am sure # 61 looknoclothes, you’ll be happy to remind me what happened to those DC plumbers.

  28. Named says:

I was thinking… Republicans would never stoop so low as to smash GOP hq under real or false pretenses. They’re too busy shooting doctors…

  29. mrteacher says:

noname, you are obviously “special” and do not understand.

Read slowly so you don’t get lost. I’ll try not to use big words, and maybe you can follow it.

In the Watergate case, the people who broke into Dem headquarters were the opposition, the Republicans. The break-in was not done by anyone connected with the Dems. It was not a fake break-in done by Dems to make Republicans look bad. It was done by bad Republicans who lost their jobs.

Are you following so far, or do you need some quiet time to fit it into your special little brain? Ok?

    Let’s continue.

In this case, the being who smashed up the Dem headquarters was actually someone connected with the Dems, and had worked for them in the campaign. Republicans were not involved. It was done to make Republicans take the blame for a bad thing they did not do.

Now, slowly (don’t strain yourself) compare the two things in your mind. Are they the same? No! They are not the same, they are different! Good little noname!

So Watergate is not the issue here. It happened a long long time ago, likely before you were but a gleam in the milkman’s eye.

This case is about a Leftard trying to make it look like a rightwing looney did a bad thing.

Now go ask the attendant for some juice and a cookie.

  30. gooddebate says:

Well I have to hand it to John about one thing, at least he’s willing to call a slime ball a slime ball.
