MOSCOW (Reuters) – Russian soccer fans have been told to drink whiskey on their trip to Wales for next month’s World Cup qualifier to ward off the H1N1 swine flu virus, the head of the country’s supporter association (VOB) said Monday.
“We urge our fans to drink a lot of Welsh whisky as a form of disinfection,” VOB head Alexander Shprygin told Reuters.
The first thing in this whole “Swine Flu Epidemic” to make sense
If the fans are smashed/hung over in their hotel rooms, they won’t be exposed to as many people. There maybe some truth in whiskey here.

Does Scotch whiskey count?
I thought the cure for swine flu was oinkment?
#4. yes. But the cost of a good scotch in the UK is going to make you feel ill.
@jasmoran66 “Whiskey” comes from the USA and Ireland. The stuff that comes from Scotland and the rest of the UKis called “Whisky” – without the E.
Printing this out and bringing it into the office in the morning.
#7- Good to know. I honestly never noticed the spelling before. Thanks.
“Cures all symptoms of the disease”
It may not cure the disease, but if you drink enough of it, you can be sure you won’t notice any of the symptoms!!
Oinkment….lol. Thought it was a typo at first. Didn’t know I was immune from H1N1. Will have the tell the friends who make fun of what I drink.
