    Mr. show.

Couldn’t agree more. Must be a slow news week, because Palin ultimately is only as much of an issue as the time we give her.

I always thought McCain proved he’s “Crazy as a March Hare” when he choose her as his running mate.

  2. Mr. Fusion says:

Palin resigned because she saw the writing on the wall.

Her personal legal bills were too much and would only grow if she remained Governor.

She was slipping in the polls in Alaska. The Legislature was not doing her bidding.

Her sources and the polls told her she had no realistic chance of becoming President, or even V-P. She did not have the support of the party’s top people.

The more she stood on a stage with her children, the more her kids also became sleaze fodder.

She has a book deal that won’t get written by itself (actually it will, but you know what I mean) so she needs time to sit down.

Kid #1, Bristol, is about to have her third little rug rat and Palin doesn’t want to be in the public eye during the pregnancy. Especially when kid #4 doesn’t have Todd’s DNA.

And her last reason for resigning is how her house got built. Yup, there are a lot of questions.

Do I care? Nope. She can whine all she likes, she doesn’t have a leg to stand on if she insists on suing.

  3. mikiev says:

“I do sometimes wonder if she were liberal if she’d be given different treatment in the shark tank of politics (likely lauded for her “sense of style” and all of that BS)”

You mean like how Hillary was treated? 🙂

Palin is a joke, to me, because she keeps spouting-off about “real” Americans, after having close association with the Alaska Freedom Party.

If that isn’t hypocritical enough for most people, I don’t know what is.

  4. thinker says:

Oiy! This is going to be interesting

  5. Inbread Georgian says:

She’s got a real perty mouth.

  6. deowll says:

    # 38 Then you must think swimming in spiritual sewer is interesting.

Of course many real Americans aren’t anything anyone who doesn’t like sewers would like to spend time with.

The real value of freedom of speech is that gives people the golden opportunity to completely discredit themselves.

    # 24 If she has no policies then why do so many people hate her so badly including you? If you respond please think before you respond. You guys may not know if but if people aren’t members of your particular hate group you tend to come off sounding like the KKK talking about blacks and Jews only you are talking about Palin. Same kind of hate speach, different target.

I never said that I hated her. In fact I didn’t say anything about her, other than challenging her supporters co comment on what “policies and philosophies” she stands for.

    I’m still waiting…

  8. robin1943 says:

    Troublemaker

Palin’s is a social conservative and her political positions are well know. All you have to do is listen to her whole speech on Friday or look up “Political positions of Sarah Palin” on Wikipedia to she where she stands.

  9. Traaxx says:

If the slut Hilliary Clintous can sue over a documentary that wasn’t favorable to her, then a few law suits over the lies spread about Palin and the Africa and NAFTA, hoax??, would be more than justified. Edieard the Dip should be among the first ones sued out of home and life, post birth abortion since he obviously doesn’t use that space in between its ears.

    Whatever……………….

    Traaxx

  10. Pollerbar says:

Why do you idiots care about this woman! What is your problem! I voted to create a new world of politics without this petty banter and personal attacks. Let’s move on to something substantive. This economy is currently on life support. President Obama is extending his hand of friendship everywhere to our previous enemies. Let’s focus on the future not Sarah Palin’s looks and leadership.

  11. Mr. Fusion says:

    #42, disgusted,

the leaders of the Republican party made clear these attacks were ridicuous. The Dems made sure their people repeated the Palin smears on every talk show they could.

Very easy smear to make. Yup, say the Republican leadership denounced the Obama smears when they are still loudly proclaimed by the de facto Republican leader Boss Limpdick. The only denunciation I recall was when McCain said Obama was a good man and shouldn’t be called a communist.

Now what are the “Palin smears”?

That Trigg is actually Bristol’s? There is enough evidence to support that: Sarah showed no sign of pregnancy, flew from Dallas to Juneau AFTER her water broke, Bristol took a whole year off to be home schooled when her mother is in charge of the public schools in Alaska, … Palin even used Trigg as a prop during several speeches as what a dedicated mother she is.

That her house was built with quid pro benefits with a local contractor? The same contractor who later greatly benefited from a government contract while she was Mayor?

That she, her husband, and her chief aid pressured the top cop in Alaska to fire her ex-brother in law? That she later fired the top cop because he wouldn’t fire the ex?

Her extreme religious, Pentecostal stance? Yes, there is video of her being taken care of by an “African Witch Doctor Evangelist”. She preached abstinence when her own daughter had two kids out of wedlock, while a minor.

That she spent hundreds of thousands on clothes, make-up, and beauticians during her V-P campaign from campaign funds? She then didn’t want to return the clothes? Yup, just a person of the people who shops at a second hand store.

  12. jccalhoun says:

But when rightwing nutters said that, the media basically debunked it while reporting the attacks, making sure that it was clear these stories were BS. And the leaders of the Republican party made clear these attacks were ridicuous.
Then why was it that last night when I was going to bed and I decided to listen to Coast to Coast AM for fun and I caught the end of the Bill Cunningham show before it and they were once again talking about Obama’s birth certificate?

Not one word dared be spoken against the Holy Family, while the media did everything but call Bristol a whore and Trig a retard
It has nothing to do with the fact that Bristol’s mother was a proponent of abstinence-only education and Bristol was counter-evidence of the effectiveness of that. Whereas the Obama kids don’t seem to have done anything newsworthy. No, it was just pure mean-spiritedness…

  13. Rabble Rouser says:

Ask Sarah about the Villa in Wasilla, and how the same EXACT style custom windows that were used on the sports complex there, were used on her villa. Ask her about the political contributions that these contractors made. Ask her about her husband’s role in this, THEN you will know why there is a pending investigation on all of this, and why she is resigning now, to save a little of her Caribou Barbie butt.

  14. gooddebate says:

One thing is clear, Palin is on the ‘must destroy’ list. Look at the head lines. Like this one “Insane Sara Palin, late at night on July 4, threatens to sue entire internet, via twitter”. Isn’t this an obvious smear? Insane? By who’s diagnosis, Mr Fusion? Eidiard? Mr Justin?

How about USA Today; “Palins Flameout”. This is clear intent to draw conclusions, not report. It’s the kind of language that is used when you want people to think a certain thing. Usually, when someone steps down or makes a political mistake it’s self minimizing and there’s no smear campaign needed. But a few people like Palin there’s a doubt about whether this action is going to minimize her so the left decides that a smear campaign is warranted, just to make sure.

  15. Mr. Fusion says:

    #50, poor debate,

    Say what?

You condemn everyone yet offer nothing as evidence. You claim the US Today article makes conclusions but doesn’t report. First, WHAT EFFEN US TODAY REPORT? You don’t link to one or even tell us which one. Was it an op-ed, a column, under a by-line, or AP?

You made the claim, you supply the evidence. Until then this is just more sour grapes from the “Nailin Palin” crowd.

  16. jccalhoun says:

Anyone looking to Dvorak.org/blog for fair and non-sensationalistic headlines is going to be disappointed. Go back to November and look at all the link-bait headlines about Obama that Dvorak posted.

I went to usa today’s website’s Palin section and didn’t see any story with “palin flameout” as the headline. Where is it?

  17. jccalhoun says:

Oh there it is, on their blog with the full headline, “Our Opinion: Palin’s Flameout” http://blogs.usatoday.com/oped/2009/07/our-opinion-palins-flameout.html
So it isn’t like it isn’t clearly marked as an editorial or anything unless there’s another USA Today story with that headline.

  18. Gary, the dangerous infidel says:

We knew she wasn’t what she claimed to be when we discovered the truth about her support for “the bridge to nowhere.” If that wasn’t enough, we then found out that as mayor of Wasilla, she had hired a lobbying firm and extracted millions of dollars from Washington for her humble little home village.

The “non-politician” turned out to be a politician after all. But now all of that is behind her, and the real reason she is resigning is so she can enter a different competition…

    http://mrsalaskapageant.com/

As for the headline on this blog post, she’s probably no more insane than any other person who talks to the creator of the universe. This time, the voice in her head told her to resign. How can I possibly disagree with the wisdom of that?

  19. lop says:

We will NEVER stop slamming Bush anbd Palin and her retard spawn until they apologize. We cannot just move on when half the population has yet to admit they made a mistake! They must be shamed and insulted until they cry uncle and start working with us.

If we just move on these cretins will just vote for another Bush.

  20. doink says:

I propose a “Fusion’s Law”…when you constantly resort to insults about someone’s potency instead of insults about their dumb ideas, you lose the argument.

Fusion is acting like the 9-year-old who can’t believe how funny he is and keeps repeating the same playground insult for a week. Except that he’s been doing it for a lot longer.

Rush is easy enough to hack apart on the merist, you just make the left look petty and unimaginative.

I suggest that people stop responding to little Fusion-chan until he comes up with some non-ad-hominem insults.

Maybe next time there is a site update, we could get an “ignore” button.

  21. gooddebate says:

#51 I”m curious then, seriously. Why is it necessary to treat Palin this way when much more significant opponents of the left have minimized themselves. You’ll hear a lot of people on the right spout “double standard” but I really don’t think that’s it. Why is it necessary to treat only certain people this way?

And please, don’t just say it’s because she deserves it. She never has had power and might not ever.

  22. cap says:

#57, it’s because she’s so STUPID. She’s borderline retarded and we have to destroy people like this. We have to make their families hate them for even TRYING to get power. We can never let up or other stupid godbeleiving bimbos will keep running for office.

Using her style and speech patterns and family to mock her is fine if it does the job. The ends really are what’s important…don’t go feeling sorry for her, she’d put you in a Jesus Reeducation camp in a heartbeat.

    Capiche?

  23. robin1943 says:

    #58

Sounds like you would favor taking some of the stimulus money and building ovens to get rid of people you feel are inferior to your vast elitist intelligence. Another man did that in Germany last century.

This country was built on all people having a right to hold their own ideas and views even if they differ from our own. If your ideas and views are better then they will win out. But the discourse should be carried out in a civil manner instead of this vile personal attacks under taken by so many on the left like yourself.

  24. Mr. Fusion says:

    #57, debate,

I’m curious too. Why would you make spurious claims then walk away from them instead of backing them up? Yup, another right wing nut tactic.

    *

I couldn’t give two constipated farts about her. It has been the far right wing of the Republican Party, the “fringe element”, that loved her and she played to. This fringe group got their little weenies all exited whenever and where ever she spoke. They would have followed her to the grave because she winked at them. But they are not the moderate, moneyed group of conservatives the Republican Party wants to appeal to. Generally (and I am generalizing) they are the group of religious nutbags and Liebertarians that almost ruined the Republican Party.

The Republican Party leaders tolerated her as she excited the troops. Yet they saw her lack of intellect and compassion. Any national election with her would be detrimental to the party as a whole. She reminded everyone too much of Bush in a time when that legacy is way too toxic. In short, they didn’t see her as a winner.

Palin was just a small time player trying to make in the big league. She couldn’t cut it because she wasn’t the right material. Argue that all you want but it won’t change the fact. Personally I wish she had stayed around as she polarized the electorate into the extreme right wing element and normal people. This also galvanized the center and left to stop the neo-cons and religious nuts.

  25. Ralph, the Bus Driver, says:

    Doink.

It appears you are doing exactly what you accuse Fusion of doing. Did he touch the wrong nerve?

Since the names are at the beginning of the comment, why not just skip over his if they bother you that much?

  26. Timuchin says:

As I said back in #26, the Clintonistas are setting up for 2012 to get Hillary in office. Hillary pushed Obama into coming against the Iranian repression — and then came out neutral herself. That will be a future campaign point for her.

Hillary needs the women’s vote to get in in 2012. She’s got to make sure the last thing people remember about Sarah is very negative. Her news media will make Sarah a non-person from now on.

Sarah herself is getting out of the governor’s chair so when the economy collapses none of the fallout can be held against her by Hillary’s media.

Rahm is in charge of Obama’s cabinet — and is a Clintonista. The future back-stabbing will be interesting.

  27. Ilana says:

    DAVID LETTERMAN’S HATE, ETC. !

David Letterman’s hate is as old as some ancient Hebrew prophets.
Speaking of anti-Semitism, it’s Jerry Falwell and other fundy leaders who’ve gleefully predicted that in the future EVERY nation will be against Israel (an international first?) and that TWO-THIRDS of all Jews will be killed, right?
Wrong! It’s the ancient Hebrew prophet Zechariah who predicted all this in the 13th and 14th chapters of his book! The last prophet, Malachi, explains the reason for this future Holocaust that’ll outdo even Hitler’s by stating that “Judah hath dealt treacherously” and “the Lord will cut off the man that doeth this” and asks “Why do we deal treacherously every man against his brother?”
Haven’t evangelicals generally been the best friends of Israel and persons perceived to be Jewish? Then please explain the recent filthy, hate-filled, back-stabbing tirades by David Letterman (and Sandra Bernhard and Kathy Griffin) against a leading evangelical named Sarah Palin, and explain why most Jewish leaders have seemingly condoned Palin’s continuing “crucifixion”!
While David, Sandra, and Kathy are tragically turning comedy into tragedy, they are also helping to speed up and fulfill the Final Holocaust a la Zechariah and Malachi, thus helping to make the Bible even more believable!
