Matua is a common place name right across the Pacific, encompassing dozens of geographically disparate cultures and languages. Nice volcano, too.
That volcano will put more greenhouse gases into the atmosphere than all the cars in North America this year.

#4, actually volcanoes produce global cooling. This is good news for the alarmists, now they can say all their model failures are because of this eruption, even the cooling that’s already happened.
#6, the ash does produce a temporary cooling effect – but enormous amounts of methane, steam and CO2 are also pumped high into the atmosphere.

Man, that eruption looks spooky like an A-bomb mushroom cloud. Is Mother Nature trying to imitate us or something?

A few years. Mount Pinatubo is credited with some cooling in the late 80s.

With the volcanoes creating global cooling, I guess we should all start driving SUVs again to counteract this cooling problem!
