This was the top story on AP at 3:50pm PST. Since AP will sue your ass for posting or linking to their stories, I present the story from one of the other 342 sources Google has links to about this Earth shattering development. I’m sure glad nothing else is happening in the world to push this story from the headlines.

On the eve of Father’s Day, the First Father showed how it’s done, taking his daughters Malia and Sasha for some frozen treats at The Daily Godmother, a boutique custard parlor in Alexandria.

President Obama and his girls motorcaded over to Alexandria from the White House this afternoon. Malia had a waffle cone of vanilla custard and Sasha had her vanilla custard in a cup. The president enjoyed a cup of vanilla custard with hot fudge and toasted almonds, a pool reporter was told by the shopkeeper. The three were in the shop for about 15 minutes, where they sat at a table to enjoy their snacks.

As they left, the trio received applause from the staff and customers inside and a small crowd outside. Carrying a bag of frozen “puppy pops” for the First Dog, Bo, Obama waved to the crowd before stepping into his SUV for the short jaunt back to the White House.

    #32, benson,

It is really tiresome listening to the right wing nuts complain every time the President has a bowel movement.

You guys have nothing positive to add to any national debate. Your constant mantra of “reduce taxes and regulations” is long past the point of being boring. Bring some ideas next time you want to make a point.

  2. Mojo Yugen says:

Gotta go to Ted Drews in St. Louis for the best frozen custard.

Thanks. Saved me some typing. 🙂

And it’s just as tiring to hear about every bowel movement….masquerading as news.

Wow… you wear your martyrdom dress today. Everyone is against us… us poor bible thumping fundamentalists…

    Hey F*cktard-named-after-what-German-bums-drink.
I’m a liberal athiest Democrat (which, as a bit of thought will tell you, is slightly different from a bible thumping fundamentalist) who’s tired of seeing Obama treated like Elvis on tour instead of the President we voted for.

No one said he couldn’t go off with the fam, but we do have the right to wonder why this is the top story when so much else is going on.

I realize you are not capable of seeing dissent as anything but Scary Christian Rush Limbaugh Attacks, but sometimes the grownups need to break through the press’ adulation to point out that he is not following up on his promises. In fact, he’s not doing much different than Bush on several issues. As long as he’s not Bush, this is obviously ok with you. I hope the resulting Republican resurgence in a few years will also be ok with you. (actually, it probably will, as you can indulge your Bush Derangement Syndrome to the fullest, and full spittle-flecked-rant mode will be the norm again.) Me. I’d rather see some real changes and convince the oldsters and rednecks that the Republicans are not going to help them.

But that’s just me, Junior, you go ahead and rant away. The Repubs love it.

LOL (and No… I’m not laughing with you)

  7. Uncle Dave says:

#34: Or about a dozen places in the center of frozen custard, Milwaukee.

So, anyone want to take odds on how much the haircut will cost? And what time slot it will be reported? 🙂

  9. MikeN says:

    >Bush was playing golf while Americans where dying in his meaningless invasion of Iraq.

Doesn’t America still have troops in Iraq, as well as a buildup of troops in Afghanistan?

Why is it OK for Obama to play golf?

At least Bush made a sacrifice of giving up golf, mocked by you guys.

  10. yoinks says:

#37 right on….it’s getting harder and harder to be associated with anything “liberal” online….I though the whole winning the election thing would make my fellow progressives leave the schoolyard insults behind and be serious…but it seems like they weren’t pro-Obama at all, just anti-Bush, and permanently anti-Bush even when there is nothing further to be gained.

The Republicans are right about one thing…most ‘liberals’ have nothing to offer but slogans…we’ve forgotten how to care about issues rather than just slamming the other side.

Jager, go have a few more shots and go troll some other site.

  11. Mr. Fusion, says:

    #42, yanker,

What the hell gives you the right to tell someone to eff off and go somewhere else because you don’t like their post?

Whatever the progressives suggest or Democrats try in Congress is automatically met with screams of doom from the right. Even your post does nothing except complain. It offers nothing on how Jagermeister is wrong, only that he should “troll some other site”.

You ma’am, are the troll here.

  12. God says:

Mr Fusion calling someone else a troll? Funny!

And your post was filled with the good advice people are coming to expect…none.

42 laid out a problem with “progressives” these days; that is, they are no longer doing anything but bitch. And he or she was right. And I said so.

We have the WH, the House and Senate, and are whining that the Repugs are blocking us? WTF! They can screwam all they want, we can do anything we like…let’s start pushing to get some of it done!

If you can’t see that, you’re an idiot. And apparently you can’t see that.

    Good Day and GFY.
