No one joins the corps if they have any qualms about killing. It’s what’s expected of a marine. Those that join know this and they’re volunteers, so it’s safe to say they want to kill. Who might they kill if it weren’t for the war? They’re patriots out to kill a dangerous enemy, a noble justification. All societies have violent members, maybe wars just a wway to put them to good use.
