1. Patrick says:

What’s he doing?  Trying to teach O’Mama math to grade schoolers?  Jobs lost are jobs saved.  ROFL!

  2. Dallas says:

Pretty amazing president. COnnects with citizens like no other. We finally have a leader.

#1 Jokes on you. Your comment makes you look like a loser. A sore one.

  3. Patrick says:

#2, Yes I lost when I voted for O’Mama.  ROFL

  4. LibertyLover says:

<i>COnnects with citizens like no other. We finally have a leader.</i>

Charisma wtihout a clue is like that.  Free Ice Cream For Everybody!

That being said, I did think the note was classy.

  5. LibertyLover says:

OK guys, you need to put the old editor back in.  This one still doen’t work worth a crap.

[Until we can find the source of the problem, if you turn off JavaScript in your browser, the problem will go away. – ed.]

  6. Thinker says:

Wow, 11 out of 10 for style!

That made that kids year! 🙂

  7. pblonsky says:

That is awesome, and super cool too

  8. Mr. Fusion says:

    #2, Dallas,

I agree, Obama is showing he is a President for the people, not just the special corporate interests.  How refreshing.

Damn, this right orientation id screwy. I don’t why it is happening, but I wish the Web Site Administrator would fix it. I’m starting to feel like a right wing nut with semi-circular logic.

  9. chuck says:

    #4 – Wait a sec, there’s free ice cream?

  10. amodedoma says:

    #5  ABSOLUTELY!  This editor sucks!

This crap was so cute it had to be staged!

  11. MikeN says:

Question is, would he still have done it if the girl’s name wer Regan?

  12. Ah_Yea says:

I thought what the note really said was insightful.
“Dear Kennedy’s Teacher, please excuse Kennedy today because she is with me, the great and all powerful Barak.  And by the way, please make sure she is doing well in her Chinese language class, because that’s were all the jobs will be once I am finished with this country.
    Sincerely,
Barak HUSSIN Obama (Notice the new “Arab Friendly)”

  13. Good Point MikeN. I do wonder if he would have wrote the note if the child’s name was Regan or Cavuto, or  Hannity,or Rove and etc.

  14. Barack McCain says:

I don’t think anyone would be stupid enough to name their girl Cavuto, Hannity or Rove.

  15. Olo Baggins of Bywater says:

Where am I supposed to type…Oh there it is. Whoa.

Anyway, #15, the people who would do that are certainly stupid enough.

  16. John says:

I’m a Republican and even I admit that it was a classy, touching moment.  Well done Mr. President.

  17. Hmeyers says:

    Ah that was cool
/Fire the ass hat who managed to screw up[ the site again!

  18. Patrick says:

¿ǝʇıs ǝɥʇ ɥʇıʍ ƃuoɹʍ s,ʇɐɥʍ sɹǝʎǝɯɥ

[Damn good idea Patrick. We’re working on making it like this all the time. – ed.]

  19. LibertyLover says:

    #19, ROTFLMAO

  20. chuck says:

Wow you’d think they couldn’t screw up something as simple as an HTML textarea box. But they did.

[WE didn’t screw up anything. The new version of WordPress instigated the problem. We’re working on. We don’t like it any better than you do. – ed.]

  21. Hmeyers says:

    @19 LOL

  22. Toxic Asshead says:

Maybe it was staged and maybe bnot but even I will give him credit for a simple, nice gesture.
Now… as for the return of the “I’m having a stroke” editor….ARGH!!!!!!!

[Be patient. We know it sucks. – ed.]

  23. AC_in_Mich says:

ok, there’s really nothing wrong with the editor if you just don’t look at what you are typing

  24. MikeN says:

#19, how did you do that?

Hannity sounds like it might be a name, but Cavuto and Rove?  Then again I can’t believe Kennedy or Reagan either.

  25. How is it that the wing nuts even manage to turn this into fodder for their hatred of a president with a brain?

It’s just a cute little nothing of a non-story. It makes our president seem a bit more personal.  Why must you make it into something ugly?

And yes Dallas, it is nice to have a president who can connect with people. We had a vice president who connected with people previously, but he only used buckshot as the connector, which is a tad different somehow.

  26. moss says:

Sadly, Scott, you have it exacty right.  These pitiful populist politically correct imitations of Brown Shirts roaming the streets of discourse – have nothing to offer – even unto themselves.

Which is why they sit by the wayside of history watching it move on past their tawdry cul-de-sac. Crying in their beer. Whining to their buddy on the next barstool.

  27. Gary, the dangerous infidel says:

I’m sure Obama will be blamed for inspiring a nation of scofflaw children to skip school, but one thing I noticed was that he displayed a bit of multitasking skill. If it were me, I probably would have asked the guy to repeat the question because I was too busy writing the note.

If our children grow up to be anarchists thumbing their noses at authority, outlawing school prayer was the first step, and this presidential pardon for skipping school was the clincher.

  28. wirelessg says:

Assuming the note has some monetary value, who legally owns the note? the child or the teacher

  29. LibertyLover says:

How is it that true believers even manage to turn this into fodder for their love of a president?

It’s just a cute little nothing of a non-story. It makes our president seem a bit more personal.  Why must you make it into something spectactular?
