Mom-approved

A 15-year-old Hialeah boy who had a months-long sexual relationship with a teacher at his religious school must end the affair, a Miami child welfare judge has ordered.

The boy’s mother, who is not being identified by The Miami Herald to protect her son’s privacy, appeared Wednesday afternoon before Miami-Dade Circuit Judge Cindy Lederman at the request of state child welfare administrators. They want the mother to agree to counseling and supervision by the Department of Children & Families.

The mom, Hialeah police say, consented to her son’s affair with 32-year-old Maria Guzman Hernandez, and allowed the couple to travel together for a weekend getaway at Disney World.

Hernandez, who teaches sixth grade at Our Lady Of Charity in Hialeah, was arrested Saturday night by the Hialeah Police Department after she returned from the trip. Police say she acknowledged the affair during questioning. She was charged with sexual battery on a child over whom she had custodial authority, a charge similar to statutory rape…

Har! Must be something in the water.

    #1, agreed

It was another learning experience to the boy in school. what better than his teacher to teach him about sex???

Would your opinion differ at all if all 3 parties involved consented and the teacher was a guy?

  3. Olo Baggins of Bywater says:

Alfred, you’re a typical christian hypocrite.

  4. Lou says:

    Good for the kid.

  5. JimR says:

    Hialeah (Florida)… Pronounced Hell yeah!

#3, Alfres1, re: “…hit every whore house i could…sampled the Turkish hash…don’t believe it harmed me one bit!”

    That’s a matter of opinion.

  7. Dave W says:

Of course the founders of this country (USA) wouldn’t have bothered. At the time this country was founded, if you were 15 and didn’t have any kids of your own, there was something wrong with you! With a very small increase in age, this is still the case in some locales.

Now, while I don’t have a problem with the boy screwing the teacher from a prudish standpoint, I understand the objection. Talk about teacher’s pet! It is decidedly unfair to the other students. And I of course object to the religious instruction that undoubtedly occurs at a school named Our Lady of Charity.

Oh, and keep in mind that at 15, the boy is only a year shy of the age of consent in the UK and I’m sure many other less uptight countries.

He’s actually a year over the limit for decades in Texas – till they changed the law to chase Mormons recently.

  9. OvenMaster says:

    Congratulations to the kid. 😀

  10. One question… where is the kid’s Father?

  11. Mr. Fusion says:

    Alfred,

Really, so at 16 you ran away and joined a circus or carnival or merchant marine. Big hairy deal. IT HAS AFFECTED YOUR OUTLOOK.

You rant about Obama being a drug dealer (with no proof) then turn around and suggest it is fine to flout the law? What do you screw your head on with, Phillips or Robertson screws?

  12. Jägermeister says:

Anyone surprised to find yet another God loving pedophile? I guess she’ll have go back to her old habits…

Come on Fusion… he’s a Do as I say, not as I do type of guy.

  14. RTaylor says:

When I started teaching it was beat in our heads, never meet with a female student alone with you door shut, never touch one, don’t overly smile, always be beyond reproach. Now thirty years later, I find out it was the female teachers they should have been talking to. These gals are nuts. I always had the good sense that the body may resemble a woman, but there was a unpredictable teenager inside it.

  15. JimR says:

    Recent Quotes from Alfred1… hypocritical?…

    “Bible condemns fornication.”

    “All fornication is wrong.”

“As a former skeptic/agnostic leaning towards atheism, it was the facts about God and the Bible that led me to read it. Upon reading it, the words spoke to me in a way no other literature did…I couldn’t put it down. I KNEW in my spirit God is, when I read His Word, and I repented, confessed Jesus publicly, and God the Holy Spirit came into my life…I was born again”

“when I was 16 I shipped out in the Merchant Marine, Dayman…went to Spain, Italy, Turkey…hit every whore house i could…sampled the Turkish hash…don’t believe it harmed me one bit!”

“Bible condemns fornication therefore none of the folks involved are fundamental born again evangelical Christians”

“Homosexual pedophilia harms the child for life, and is worthy of death”

“the law has no business in people’s families”

“parental consent for a boy to have sex with his female teaching does no harm to the boy whatsoever.”

Physically, girls are not equal, and losing their virginity to an adult male is doing them harm for life…therefore illegal

  16. Jägermeister says:

    #21 – JimR

    Yes, he’s a hypocrite.

  17. Olo Baggins of Bywater says:

Alfred, so you got a psychology degree between the drugs and rebirth? Otherwise, you’re full of horse shit.

  18. JimR says:

Holy shit! (and I mean that figuratively.)

    Alfred is cracking. (pun intended)

  19. Jägermeister says:

Alfredone, you’re pathetic. Reasoning like a drunk.

  20. JimR says:

Alfred1, Re: “A 15 year old boy is not physically changed when he loses his virginity and probably mentially, is helped.
A 15 year old girl is physically changed, for life.”

How is it that the boy is helped, and the girl is damaged both mentally and physically? Compare apples to apples. The boy was willing with a 32 year old woman, so if a 15 year old girl was willing participant with a 32 year old man, what is the difference that would justify the death penalty according to you?

  21. deowll says:

This kid is 15 and she teaches sixth? Not sure how this means she has custody unless on the trip?

  22. Olo Baggins of Bywater says:

Alfred says: I’m sick of you statists involving yourself in everyone’s life…

And so in order for you to avoid being hypocritical, STFU on abortion and gay marriage, willya? Neither one affects your life or livelihood. But I gotta look at In God We Trust every fargin day.

  23. t0llyb0ng says:

15 year old guy was probably ready to have sex. Teacher has a teaching certificate. Who better qualified? It was consensual & mom didn’t mind.

Certainly 16 year old males are ready to start receiving hands-on sex ed—if they feel ready for it. I wish they’d quit making such a deal out of stuff like this. It’s prudish & repressed.

But women shouldn’t pluck their eyebrows out. The hairs stop growing back & those penciled-in brows look pretty silly. Plus Ms. Hernandez needed to see a dermatologist as a teen but that didn’t happen, apparently.

  24. Olo Baggins of Bywater says:

#Alfred, all that affects you how? If you don’t believe in those things, don’t do them. If you must pray before meals, do it. I respect that, just don’t expect me to participate or be required to live by your morals.

IOW, stay out of my life, just as you request I do.

  25. Mr. Fusion says:

    #37, Alphie,

If it can’t be prove the 15 year old man was harmed, then no crime occurred…

Uummm, nope. All the prosecution needs do is prove the act took place. It is illegal for someone her age to have sex with someone his age even if it is consensual, and it doesn’t matter if there sexes were reversed or the same. An adult may not have sex with a child.

He is not a man. He is a boy, a child in the eyes of the law. I have never met any 15 yr old mature enough to be called a man.

  26. Mr. Fusion says:

    Which quote is true?

The other aspect you hypocrites (who release homo pedophiles from jail, and even demand our children be taught homosexuality in kindergarten), is the mothers consent.

A 15 year old boy is not physically changed when he loses his virginity and probably mentially, is helped.

I can rationally justify everything I said…its based upon reality.

I was talking law, and unlike you asses, I don’t confuse my religion Governing law…

    or

As the embryo is not a body part…the logic of roe vs wade was unsound…not relevant to privacy…rather, life is protected…therefore all abortionists will suffer, exceedingly, in hell.

Alphie, I hope you recognize the disconnect here. So many people have suggested it and I agree, you need serious psychological help.

  27. Olo Baggins of Bywater says:

Alfred: you statists teaching homosexuality to our children in kindergarten…you are the real child abusers.

    Name one school.

  28. Nimby says:

#3 Alfalfa said: “…when I was 16 I shipped out in the Merchant Marine…hit every whore house i could…sampled the Turkish hash…don’t believe it harmed me one bit!”

That explains the mental instability (tertiary syphilis) and the flights of fantasy (drug abuse).

  29. JimR says:

“The mom did nothing wrong…what is wrong is idiots like you trespassing upon her inalienable rights to liberty…

She has a constitutional right to YOU being off her property…YOU have no ritht to be peeping into her bedroom…

YOU have no right to tell her what to do in her life.”

And by your own morals Alfred1, if it were a father allowing his daughter to do the same thing, you should also have no problem with it.

  30. JimR says:

Just to be clear, I would have a problem with both scenarios in post 44.
