Originally published on HyperCard (remember that?) on the Mac by Cyan, it was the most successful video game of it’s day and now on the iPhone. You can still get it for the PC.

So, when will Riven be out on iPhone?

    #1 – I concur with pkfad – huh?

  5. Uncle Don says:

    Downloaded and playing.

Must use headphones, though, as many of the sounds cannot otherwise be heard by the tiny speaker of the pod / phone.

Also, turn the brightness up IF you (like me) have it turned down to maintain long battery life. It’s a bit dark in spots (no pun intended).

  6. Ubiquitous Talking Head says:

    Does it still suck?

  7. nikgare says:

Shame it’s not a version of realmyst inszead – I’m sure the iphone is powerful enough.

  8. Cursor_ says:

Next they will release Hunt The Wumpus and Oregon Trail.

How easily amused Steventologists must be.

Oh that’s right a blank white screen labeled flashlight, a beer and a zippo lighter are all apps for iPhone.

    Yep easily effin amused.

    You point is?

If the iPhone is sooooo terrible and sooooo over-rated, why are developers flocking to it as a platform?

I think its a tribute to the power of the product that someone would bother to release Myst for it.

I’m a PC user and I provide support for MS software for a living, and I can honestly say that the iPhone’s software engineering is head and shoulders above anything Microsoft have or will ever produce for a phone.

Interested to see android, however, when it comes running on decent hardware.

    #12 hugh,

“Interested to see android, however, when it comes running on decent hardware.”

The latest android phones uses hardware similar to the second generation iphone, they even use the same microprocesor.

  11. OhForTheLoveOf says:

Oooh Myst… Does it still suck?

    #13 Angel

Need to track down someone who has one over here so I can have a squizz.

People who don’t know the difference between “it’s” and “its” should not be allowed to write on Dvorak.org.
