83% won’t be upgrading to Windows 7, like Duh! You don’t upgrade OS unless you have too. It’s a waste of money.

Find me a college kid who *doesn’t* use Facebook.

(I’m back in school now. they ALL use it. even professors.)

  3. Zybch says:

I still know of some businesses that haven’t upgraded past windows 2000. In reality, if you aren’t on the net and the software you run does everything you need it to, then you really don’t ‘need’ to upgrade.
However then you have the other end of the deal with whole government departments like Australia’s Centrelink (does the pensions, unemployment and job stuff) moving to 7 after skipping vista pretty much immediately.

Just so everyone knows, Ubuntu versions are based on the date of release. They are in the year.month format. Since they have a regular 6 month release cycle, people have 8.10 now, 9.04 is about to be released, and 9.10 should be after that.

This is an example of the shitty flip side of social networking. No matter what anybody says, multitasking simply means doing many things simultaneously less well than if you did it one task at a time.
