The deputy, Paul Schene, 31, has been charged with fourth-degree assault in connection with the Nov. 29 incident in a holding cell at SeaTac City Hall. Schene pleaded not guilty to the charge Thursday, and he was released on his own recognizance.. Trouble allegedly began after Schene escorted one of the teens into a holding cell. While trying to take her shoes off, the girl kicked off her left shoe, which struck the deputy in the shin, the document said.
The video shows the girl crossing her arms and kicking off her shoe through the doorway of the cell. The video then shows the deputy’s violent response.
Are these guys too stupid to realize they are on camera, or is it they just don’t give a damn? I vote for the latter.
The bitch deserved the beat down. It’s obvious her parents don’t give a shit what she does.

#2 Even if she stole someone else’s car, that is not her moms, did she deserve the beating that she got? If you take the girl out of the picture, I would assume that the cop is beating on a guy his size or bigger. That is a little girl, who as far as I can see was giving him attitude and kicked her shoe at him. Look at around 15 seconds, those punches there look like MMA or some other type of fighting sport.
How could you defend something like that? Was he having trouble detaining her? If so he does not deserve to be a Police Officer anyway, because obviously he can not protect.

I hope you never get arrested for anything, especially if you’re later found not guilty. Even if this girl did steal a car, this “punishment” is far too severe for the crime.
I think it is mandatory or whats it called, to remove shoes witch has shoestrings, because of the subside risk involved with prisoners.

I can’t think of any other explanation. Either they are shockingly stupid men or they are career criminals.
The way we handle career criminals is this: we give them the maximum sentence allowed by law for the few cases we HAVE been able to catch them in.
Those men should both be in prison right now, awaiting trial and expecting a long sentence.
Let me also take this opportunity to renew my call for additional penalties in the law against government agents of all types who abuse the public under color of their government-given authority. I’d say an additional 10 years in federal prison (no early release) for that aspect of the situation would be about right.
Please – I sincerely invite theories about those officers other than a) drooling idiots or b) criminals.
By the way, if you think they are idiots, I assume you favor reform of the broken hiring and retention processes that put idiots in charge of the well being of captive citizens.
One note, though – “innocent until proven guilty” is irrelevant here.

Unfortunately, cops take that “legitimate interest” to be an unrestricted license to act out their ultimate fighting gay fantasies. Pretty bad when its hard to tell the difference between a law enforcement officer and law offenders.

Since everyone else is telling what they heard…I heard that she had some of those shoes like James West in Wild Wild West. They actually had a spring loaded knife in the toe. When she kicked the shoe off it stuck in the cops shin. If you look closely you can see the shoe sticking out of his shin as he wrestles her to the ground. Seems like a justified beating to me.
