What is it this time, the shift key?
“Global warming pushing birds further North.”
Or… Birds are moving further north to get away from shopping malls and Walmarts. The watershed outside of our town was all but developed over (just one isolated pond now), that the geese use to roam freely in. The pressure of moving cars and asphalt ground, probably has them looking further north, for some place man hasn’t screwed with. Global Warming needn’t apply.
What the heck have you got against Kindle. This epaper based ebook reader want’s to be the Ipod of ebook readers (mostly because Amazon is hoping to sell books itunes style). Admittedly it’s not very exciting, but that goes without saying, very few indeed are those who get excited about reading these days.- But anything that could stimulate better reading habits and reduce educational costs is a good thing. Those epaper screens are really easy on the eyes, that’s good for us oldtimers who have to read everything at an arms length cause the reading glasses are never handy.
#3 Agreed, but it won’t be long before you can buy a chinese one at half the price.
I see my kids going to and coming from school with several kilos of expensive books and think there’s got to be a better way.
It is a little scary in an Orwellian way, I mean you can’t change the contents of millions of paper books at the push of a button, maybe the ministry of truth is just around the corner.
