The part where she pats the cat’s stomach is not realistic. Where does it show the cat flip out and draw blood?
The Japanese, as a people, are deeply weird.
“Is he house broken… wouldn’t want him leaving little batteries around the house.”
Can it jump onto your coffee table and hack up a hairball the size of a cantalope?
There can never be a “robotic” replacement for a cat. Cats are weird, like people, they all have their own personality that is unique to each individual.
It never gets creepy enough for me — too mechanical.
kina dull.. dosen’t really do anything.. it barely moves. The woman in the video was manipulating it more than the robot it self was. Sony’s dog robot actually did things, this does absolutely nothing… just like a real cat!
I cant wait for the robo FURBALLS..
can we call then TRIBBLES??
SHRUG… No creepier than an Elmo Live as far as I’m concerned.
You guys are just pussies…
The japanese are a genius nation but they will destroy the world with their obsession for robotics.
Anyway, why should I want to have a lame robotic cat when I can have the real thing? A real cat is a million times cooler than ANY robotic cat will ever be.
MIAU!!!!!!
😉
I loved the video!!!!
The soundtrack was off just enough that the lips moved and then a second or two later you heard the meow…
JUST like poorly dubbed asian movies!
Priceless!

1. Maybe cute as a toy for a 2 yo.
2. Not really like a cat.
3. Japanese will be the first to make realistic robot women.
4. Will it blend?
Yea, ya know, cuz, like, it is sooo hard to find a REAL cat……
yes, it is creepy.
That cat is pretty realistic looking. But the question is, “Why?”
That cat is very realistic looking and acting. But the question is, “Why?”
Gee, aren’t the Japanese terrific at matching the perfect sound track with a video?
Not!
It might not have been the wisest thing to install it with eyes of the undead.
If this is what they can do now, imagine 20 years from now. Robotics like the personal computer is popularizing through entertainment gadgets. Should robotics experience the same kind of growth as the PC expect some really wild stuff. Like change the world kind of stuff, things Asimov could never have guessed at. I CAN’T WAIT!
Miao! [Low 8-Bit recording]
This will follow me in my dreams…
The Ultimate DOG Toy !!!
My Sheltie would definitely go berserk with this toy.
Of course bark non-stop until either the toy is sufficiently broken or it’s batteries run out.
