Although he oddly defends his actions during Katrina and admits the ‘Mission Accomplished’ thing was a mistake, to help our soon to be ex-President remember more of what he and his people did, here is a list that one website thoughtfully put together. As one person put it, he seemed “marvelously out of touch” and angry about it. And he seems intent on continuing his ways up until the end as witnessed by what happened to Condi Rice at the UN. Just a few more days…

The article in the link did not use ‘thou’ or ‘thee’ i.e not archaic therefore is an unbiased source.

Jerusalem is the third world? 1.25 tops.

  2. MikeN says:

So is there video of Bush leaving in the middle of a speech? Any press reports?

  3. Gone says:

I call him George “OJ” Bush as he’ll be a social pariah after he leaves office. I’m sure you won’t see him in the supermarket or movie theater any time soon.

  4. MikeN says:

He’s just like Harry Truman, who also left office with a high unpopularity rating. At least he didn’t try to nationalize the steel companies.

  5. Mister Mustard says:

    >>Who the hell uses this term in the 21-st
    >>century?

Probably the same folks who say “lo and behold”.

    >>It archaic and here it is used as a
    >>headline. This indicates a culturally
    >>backward writer and thus biased coverage.

This derivational pole vault would garner an “A” at the Bobbonian Institute of Higher Logic.

  6. Dallas says:

Pretty good press conference. Clearly, the mission for the remaining weeks has been to preserve any shred of a positive legacy.

Good luck with that but never mind the Bush Era Error.

We need to focus on the future. Here is IBM CEO implying Bush is a disaster and that Obama gets it for infrastructure spending.

    #34, Lyin’ Mike,

He’s just like Harry Truman, who also left office with a high unpopularity rating.</i?

So, what were Truman’s numbers when he left office? Hint, they weren’t so low.

At least he didn’t try to nationalize the steel companies.

Why? Did some American try to nationalize the Steel Industry?

Effen moran. Grow up. You and Cow-Paddy are the worst.

To start the healing, you must first identify the underlying problems…

    Brings up some good points.

Unfortunately, it’s going to take more than Bush disappearing to get back on track.

  9. Paddy-O says:

    # 37 Mr. Fusion said, “So, what were Truman’s numbers when he left office? Hint, they weren’t so low.”

Truman hit an historic low of 22%. ~25% when he left office…

  10. Olo Baggins of Bywater says:

Bush has more in common with Nixon than Truman.

  11. Paddy-O says:

    # 40 Olo Baggins of Bywater said, “Bush has more in common with Nixon than Truman.”

I don’t know about that. Both Bush & Truman started an unnecessary war. Although, Truman got a lot more Americans killed than Bush.

  12. bobbo says:

#20–Paddy==”you” say: “One of Obama’s biggest fears is that in dismantling the existing anti-terrorist measures, there will subsequently be a successful terror attack on U.S. soil that will discredit his entire Administration.”

I think that is a direct quote from O’Reilly from last Friday? You know, you can incorporate the central idea, but when you go word for word you really should reference the original source of the Anti-Obama propaganda. Otherwise, won’t be long before “Empty Headed Propaganda Spouting Meat Puppet” epithets will spread.

  13. Paddy-O says:

    Rumor only:

Bush to receive knighthood from the Queen.

  14. Paddy-O says:

    # 42 bobbo said, “I think that is a direct quote from O’Reilly from last Friday?”

I didn’t see the show. According to you, you did. What else did he say?

  15. bobbo says:

#44–Paddy==really? Well, further proof that “Great Minds” think alike. I record and watch all his shows–I have to fast forward thru some of his rants, his body language segments, replay the “Hot for Words” segments (yes, I know she is on the net) and so forth but he is unique for “really giving it” to some people who deserve it.

Best most recent example was the childish way he lit into Barney Frank. Good TV as they say.

What else is “au current” with Billy?– Nothing comes to mind.

  16. 9yo says:

    worst President ever

  17. MikeN says:

You actually watch OReilly? He doesn’t strike you as a meanie?

  18. bobbo says:

#47–Mike==I watch many newshows. It really is “infotainment.” Even the worst of the batch “Hannity” can be fast forwarded to a good guest/guest host now and then. With all my fast forwarding, I do lose context sometimes to my embarrassment. On average–I probably spend about 20 minutes on an average O’Reilly show.==I watch all of Olberman though in rapt attention. I love the “Worst Person in the World” and how often O’Reilly makes it.

“You know” — when you watch BOTH left and right oriented media, you do come to see both sides as having too much in common===but there are key differences, mostly in who benefits just a little bit by all the lies and posturing.

  19. bobbo says:

Are there any psychologists that would care to respond:

I’m struck watching the full video that Bush comes off as a sociopath. He is at the center of so many important events in the lives of so many people, and all he CONSISTENTLY sees is the impact to him.

How can one tell a sociopath:

    1. From a Politician
    2. From a reformed addict
    3. From a born again

    Seriously.

  20. rzwo says:

I just realized that this is the first time I’ve ever seen Bush in the press room. Buh bye.

  21. Paddy-O says:

    # 45 bobbo said, “What else is “au current” with Billy?– Nothing comes to mind.”

Thanks. I got news burn out during the elections and haven’t been watching much of anything news wise lately.

  22. #51 – Paddy-RAMBO

Uhhh, Loofah Pad O’Reilly isn’t news. Not even infotainment. He’s jerk-off material for the neocons.

  23. Mr. Fusion says:

Cow-Paddy, Ignorant Shit Talking Sociopath and retired Mall Rent-A-Cop.

Truman hit an historic low of 22%. ~25% when he left office…

Most people know that is bullshit. But I’ll let you find a link.

OOopps, you never do find anything to back up your stupid comments. That is why the “Ignorant” is part of your handle.

If you can’t back up your claim, it just means you are full of shit.

  24. Paddy-O says:

    # 53 Mr. Fusion said, “Most people know that is bullshit.”

You never studied this in PolySci? Did you go to college?

  25. Greg Allen says:

NONE of the so-called liberal press asked Bush about bin Laden!

bin Laden, I’m pretty sure, was a fairly big deal in Bush’s first term.

  26. Uncle Patso says:

Widespread brain damage is the only thing that explains it all…

  27. Mr. Fusion says:

#54, Cow-Paddy, Ignorant Shit Talking Sociopath and retired Mall Rent-A-Cop,

Once again you posted some bullshit and failed to back it up.

Why? Simply because it isn’t true. BUT, it fits that your ultimate hero is not the most reviled and unpopular President in the past 100 years. Much worse than even Truman who is recognized as a good if not spectacular President.

You had best stay with stocking the shelves at Radio Shack.
