How come I’ve seen this one before?
How come the Quicktime link says 129MB but the download was 298MB?
John looks great with his hair combed. I’m sure his wife made him do it. 😉
Anyone else having problems with the audio podcast?
Yeah, this is a video I watched over a week ago back in December… Even the file names suggest this (check the H.264 one).
Is there REALLY a new podcast or was this supposed to be a repeat episode?
I wish John could clarify if it was intended to be a repeat showing of a previous episode.
yeah, I thought I had the new ep on my sansa this morning but it was the last one from december. Later on my iPod touch I looked it up and that one (147) was the latest. iTunes still thinks that. Nevertheless I’ve downloaded this ep 148 and will ifnd out in the moring if I really have anything new (the description here seems current, so a new one must have neen produced).
Here’s the permalink, as given in show #148. All the links in the post were taken from this. Mevio will have to explain this one, as the permalink has strangely disappeared at mevio.com.
The only note given at mevio was “This show was previously taped,” which was included in the CG show notes.
My apologies for not recognizing it as a “re-run.”
The RSS feed that’s directed at the iTunes Music Store is wrong – it claims that episode 148 was produced in 2008. The date information in the feed needs to be corrected.
This episode was recorded the week before Christmas (Dec. 17); I think it was the one streamed live that day. (Notice they talk about the CES show to come “next month.”) Then they pre-recorded another one for the holiday, the one with Garnet Lee and David Spark (and the flying shoes). Then, for some reason, they switched the order, putting up the second one (with Lee & Spark) for download that day, promising to put the other one up “next Wednesday.” Instead, no new ones were made available either Christmas week or New Year’s week, until this one showed up this week.
That’s the order of events, as far as I can make out.
