I was gonna do that today but then once again I chose to sit here and dwell on the injustice of Israel’s bombing.
A buddy of mine sent me this clip about a week ago. My conclusion then was (and it still is) that they achieve a pretty amazing glide ratio, considering the ginormous cast iron balls they’re flying with.
Bobbo’s squidoo.com link has an ad for a book about this activity. The blurb for the book says:
“Gradual refinement of equipment and techniques have made personal flight more commonplace, and less deadly than ever before.”
Yeah, that’s what I want in a sport — less deadly than ever! It sort of reminds me of the Monty Python bit: “Of course, when I say there’s no cannibalism in the Royal Navy, I mean there’s a certain amount…”
