It would help to know the context of those remarks, old timer. From the background noise, it sounds like somebody just stopped her on the street and said “Hey baby, wassup?”.
To somehow portray this as her vision for the future, or a detailed outline of her plans for her term as senator, is something only a die-hard Dem basher would do.
And as she points out, she’s a lawyer, has written 7 best-selling books (two on the Constitution), etc. It’s not as though she were a babbling nincompoop, like Palin. Or Bush, for that matter. How far do you think HE would have gotten without Pappy?

Of course. Look at Sarah Palin. She had 1/1000th the qualifications of Caroline Kennedy, and she was considered for V-POTUS. Not by anyone with a brain, of course, but she was still on the ticket.
Dilution of “lepsical density”, putting less information in a sentence to make it seem that the speaker has more to say. She’s been trained.
What is the “basic” qualification to be in Political Office?
Take your time. Google if you must.
To represent your constituencies interests. To be Honest. To be a caretaker for our kiddies future. To protect the Constitution.
Most people run for office to line their own pockets–if not originally, then by the time they run for re-election.
So==having a “name” is not a disqualification.
What is “the Kennedy name?” A political clan built on bootleg booze who believe public service is their highest calling, peccadillo’s along the way notwithstanding==they are only human afterall.
We are getting done with a lot worse. Its what elections are all about. This appointment is back door, but the Republic will survive.

There is a boston radio show host that would run a contest called “The Wizard of ahh’s”. He would play a minute of a press conference or speech by one of the Kennedy’s. People would count the number of times they herd a ahh and call in, first one with the right number would win a prize.

If that’s the most damning ctiticism you can scrape up on Caroline Kennedy, it sounds like you’ll be voting for her as POTUS in 2016.
Besides, Dumbya had an Ivy League education (two of ’em, in fact), and look at what a retard he turned out to be.
Only the people in New York state should care. If selected she will represent them. She is an intelligent, well educated woman, with a law degree. She hasn’t had time to develop political speak, where a person talks for ten solid minutes and doesn’t say anything meaningful or controversial.

Absolutely not. It’s just that Dumbya is so easy. And for those gainsayers who spout “She hasn’t received the Nobel Prize in all five disciplines, discovered a cure for cancer, or created utopia, so she’s not qualified to be senator”, it just goes to show how far even a dimwitted know-nothing can go, only in America.
Personally, I think Caroline Kennedy is a real contender. The fact that she hasn’t mastered the art of political empty-speak, droning on for minute after minute, hour after hour, saying nothing, without missing a beat, is a point in her favor.

Thank you. I was wondering if I was the only one who was wondering why this was national news.
I don’t live in New York. I’m in my mid-30s and the only think the Kennedys have done during my life is start up a magazine. Why is this national news? I don’t care what the Kennedys or New York does with their politicians.
When will the national news outlets realize that New York is not the center of everyone’s world?
