He could have just eaten the other dog on the road and get killed too. But he choose to feast in safety.

I have the same thought reading the news daily.
The dumb animals are driving the cars that wont stop.
What was the outcome? Was the dog dead, or really just injured? And has the third world country this happened in elected the hero dog leader, or was that just South L.A.?
The even DUMBER animals are the careless assholes responsible for letting dogs run loose. I say toss the owners out on the freeway and let them scramble for safety.

No, stopping on a fast moving road like that for the sake of animal would be pretty dumb because then the animal would be dead, you’d be dead, and so would all the fast moving that ram into you ….

Not another of the “pets are equal to humans” morans.
Cats are social one on one as THEY choose.
That was a very touching video to see an animal reach out to another like this. It says alot about the devotion, caring characteristics that are evidently innate in a dog.

Cats AND dogs are social creatures. As a matter of fact most mammals are! So don’t be a moran, and say otherwise!
As far as dumb animals, there are plenty of dumber two legged animals who would not come to the aid of one of their own species.
It just proves that humans are not the only species of which, some within the group show a lick of conscience, that’s all.

My poor spelling is no news. That Open Office does a better job on its spell checker the MS Word does continue to interest me.
There is abundant information on the interwebs of altruism amongst animals. Many dogs and members of the dog family show strong altruistic tendencies.
All this despite 8 years of neo-con fascists trying to irradicate altruism amongst humans 😀
As someone pointed out on Digg, this is particularly poignant considering a bunch of really dumb animals killed a shop assistant on Black Friday just so that they could get to the deals faster.
Makes you wonder who’s evolving faster.
“Dumb” animals? I resent that. That dog is smarter that most humans. Most dogs, most ANIMALS are smarter than humans.

The ones who think that the dog was dumb are even dumber and stupid. An animal is really showing love and care for someone of his species as much as he can show care for his owner. Who is dumber, YOU, THE ONE WHO THINKS THE DOG IS DUMB,or the dog himself who didnt even care to risk his life for a living being?. He is showing better care and love and respect more than the one who writes here about the DUMB dog and who shows his ignorance, he has no idea about psychology, wake up DUMBER ONE HERE, would have been better when you would have kept your words as writing here something some DUMB coming out of your DUMBER MIND, go to school, learn something, AND STOP KEEPING DUMBER THAN EVEN A SMART ANIMAL. My sincere hope is that with Peak Oil, all the goddamn cars end up rusting by the sides of houses, no longer able to run due to an absence of gas.
And that all the humans so full of hubris that they believe they are more important than the critters of the world come, one or or another, to realize their dependency on the other life in this world.
And this is from a car lover, an owner of an Austin Healey and Triumph TR3… and neither is nor are both worth the life of that poor animal.
