Given the garbage on Network and NPR TV of late, I can live without them….
Then what is your point? Besides the on on top of your head. The beauty of TV is that wonderful OFF SWITCH. Try it and quit your whining.
BTW, NPR is National Public Radio. They don’t broadcast over the TV spectrum. If you watch NPR on radio, it also has an OFF SWITCH which you might try if you don’t like it.
Besides, once Obama takes power, TV’s will only have one channel, run by the Government, and will watch you…… .
In that case, leave the ON SWITCH in the on position so the government can watch you better.

I suspect a resurgence in rooftop antenna sales. Perhaps Radio Shack will survive after all. I bought a VU-190XR for $50! That thing pulls in transmissions from outer space its so big.
I still have one of those little digital tuner AM/FM/Tv radios, from Radio Shack. But it barely picked up more than three local Tv stations. I wonder what it will receive on that band, after Feb. 2009. It would be nice if they could keep a few weather & traffic report broadcasts going in analog, in the VHF band. Just to keep those radios that receive it, useful.
Regardless of all the hype about Digital Tv, I still find the analog transmissions more reliable. Sometimes the digital transmission of the same programs, blinks a to gray frame, for a second. As if some stations were still screwing around with the feeds (or just MyNetwork stations)! Or the audio goes silent for hours, until they think to check it. And the EPG thing rarely works right. It must be running on the crappiest of each Tv station’s computers, and using crude software.
The EPG’s clock isn’t even sync’d up to the internet or radio linked atomic clock. Several channels have times a few minutes off this way or that. Right after Nov. 2nd, one station’s EPG clock was two hours off! They moved the time an hour forward, than backward. After two days they finally fixed it. Often, stations just shut the EPG thing off for a day or two. Or run it only during primetime hours. If having an EPG was part of the government’s mandate. They sure aren’t bothering to enforce its quality of operation. Some stations’ EPG just says “DTV Program” for every half hour slot. Even if the show playing is an hour long. And my biggest beef about these EPGs, is that they don’t reflect any change in schedule. Like when they over sell a shows commecial time, so it ends two minutes into the next show’s time. The networks know hours in advance, that when these shows with end. Even the sporting events. So why can’t they spread the new via the EPGs? Do we need a George Lucas to do a THX certification of Tv EPGs? Otherwise, these station owners will never get off their asses and fix the damn things right.
I laughed when she looked at her computer and asked if this was her new tv. That and the Jack Benny comment.
I had to help a neighbor set herself up for the new air broadcasting. She actually caught on at the end. Also I got myself a converter box. I tried it out and I got to sy the picture is actually really good. (PHL area) I could drop my comcrap tv account, but then I would be charged more money for my internet.

Virtually all i got to note is I have been in IM for a lot more than a year and have go through every book, but nothing worked. you understand the reason why? Becuase like lots of you i simply wasn’t good at understanding unless of course it was hands on! Not to idolize however if it had not been for the lessons i got from my mentor i might have never made it to where I am now! Enjoying the prosperous life! have a go, he isn’t yet another scammer.
