Then re-surface briefly in 2010 and find she has no support in the Republican party as a presidential nominee.
In 2012, if Obama hasn’t dug a bigger hole than we’re in now, he’ll get re-elected. Otherwise, Hillary will be back.
The smart move would be run as the senator for Alaska. If successful, 2 years later try for the 2016 nomination.
Palin will return to Alaska & continue her duties as Govenor & wait for Senator Ted Stevens to give up his Senate seat.
Then appoint herself Senator & return to ‘Foggy Bottom’ where she will launch the Palin 2012 Campaign.
Who cares. Wave bye-bye…
She should start her own party of right wing redneck nutjobs, like Pauline Hanson did in Australia, and run on a ‘race, guns and religion platform’. Then she can say whatever dumbass stuff she feels like. I’m sure she’d be very popular amongst 10% of the population.

I think this is rather likely. Once Harry Reid and 2/3 of the Senate votes to kick him out, Palin will resign, her Lt will take over and appoint her. That would be hilarious.

If you go to conservitve blogs, they are talking about how to improve themselves, not this childish petty poison. I though a historic event like the first President of color might help but I guess you’ve proved me wrong.
Palin will return to Alaska, serve as Governor for the remainder of her term, and another if approval rating is still high. During that time, she will be a highly sought after speaker and Republican socialite. After that, unless she is guaranteed to win an election as Senator or Representative, she will find some lobbying firm to hire her or when a Republican becomes POTUS, maybe a Cabinet post. She will not be able to seek a nationally elected office again as her national image is too tarnished.
