Thanks, Marc Perkel

  1. Hhahaa, ok I just got back from voting. I voted democratic.

  2. MPL says:

    #1 My condolences

  3. skeptic says:

I doubt that you could find one person that has actually participated in an exit pole. It’s a myth to cover up that the elections are fixed. How else is the media able to so accurately predict your vote which is suppose to be privately done in secret.

  4. qsabe says:

Wow, election isn’t even over and Bush’s oil boys are already running the price back up the pole. 9% and much more to come.

  5. The Road to Hell is always paved with good intentions
So is it in this case
    Hold onto your hats
Americans will more than get what they deserve

  6. Mr. Fusion says:

That picture reminds me of Alexander Graham Bellinski. The first Telephone Pole. (rim shot)

  7. Matt Garrett says:

    McCain/Palin baby!

  8. James Hill says:

Hell, not even I voted straight GOP.

As for the exit polls, are the liberals on here willing to admit the press puts spin on them?

  9. maddmaxx says:

Just got back from voting. Voted against all the incumbents. I know what kind of liars and thieves they are. At least I don’t know what kind of thieves and liars the next batch are yet.

  10. Olo Baggins of Bywater says:

James, sure, so long as you can admit that the “fair and balanced” media is just as biased than MSM. Which isn’t fair because they’re off-the-scale biased, actually.

BTW, here’s your exit poll info:
    http://www.pollster.com/blogs/mark-blumenthal/

  11. Olo Baggins of Bywater says:

whoops, sorry about the grammar up there.

  12. DCI Gene Hunt says:

I think Chris Bachmann (#9) said it best.

  13. Improbus says:

I am voting a straight democratic ticket in Missouri after work. Then I plan to go to Starbucks and get some free coffee. Then I plan to watch the results on Comedy Central and have a few cocktails.

  14. Grin Reaper says:

Took me 25 minutes this morning to vote, then 20 minutes at lunch to vote and I expect at least an hour after work to vote.

    VOTE EARLY!
    VOTE OFTEN!

  15. James Hill says:

#11 – My viewpoint is that FNC is just as far to the right as CNN is to the left, and MSNBC is in bizzaro world. I also think that FNC was “fair and balanced” when it first started, but realized who their audience was and has played to them more and more since.

  16. #8 – James Hill,

As for the exit polls, are the liberals on here willing to admit the press puts spin on them?

Hell, I’m not even willing to admit I’ve ever paid attention to one. And, yes, I am a liberal. I’d be a Liberal if the Democraps hadn’t killed my party to avoid the competition. Unfortunately, even though I hate the Democraps for that, I still vote for them because I hate the Repugnicans even more.

We have to vote for a lizard or the wrong lizard might get in.

That said, whenever possible, I pull the lever for the same person I’d vote for anyway under some other party line. I used to pull the Liberal levers whenever possible. Today, since there are no Liberal levers, I pulled a bunch of the Working Families levers.

(Yes, I really do get the luxury of pulling levers, first the big red one all the way right (kathunk), then the little levers for the candidates, (clickety, clickety, clickety), then the big red one all the way left (kathunk).)

    Hack that Diebold!!

  17. James Hill says:

    #17 – Drink much?

  18. brm says:

    McCain, grudgingly.

  19. Olo Baggins of Bywater says:

FNC is way further to the right than CNN/ABC/CBS/NBC is to the left.

FNC doesn’t even pretend to be fair or balanced if you watch objectively. The news anchors and hosts often sprinkle their interviews with interjected viewpoints, rather than just letting someone speak or asking them to elaborate in their own words. It’s classic bias. Watch the interviews, doesn’t matter who, and check how much the CNN interviewers and hosts interject opinion or close with a viewpoint, and do the same for FNC. Seriously, it’s not even close! And let’s not put Dobbs, Hannity, and those guys in the picture, you have to separate the editorial people from the news people. (The mumbly guy who just retired from FNC wasn’t too bad.)

How you can say CNN is unbalanced way left baffles me, just watch the two objectively. And if you get any influence from the right-wing radio nuts, then I don’t expect you have the ability to address this objectively. lol

  20. LibertyLover says:

#16, […]but realized who their audience was and has played to them more and more since.

Don’t you mean “who their advertising customers are”?

  21. LibertyLover says:

#17/19, You couldn’t find any 3rd party candidates that suited your tastes?

  22. Paddy-O says:

#20 “FNC is way further to the right than CNN/ABC/CBS/NBC is to the left. ”

Not according to the latest study on campaign coverage.

Fox was in the exact center for positive & neg coverage for both candidates.

The others, way to the left.

  23. Mister Mustard says:

    #23 – O’Furniture

    >>Not according to the latest study on
    >>campaign coverage.

Who paid for the study? Rupert Murdoch? Haw!

And if by “way to the left”, you mean they reported fewer negative stories on Obama/ Biden than McBush/Palin, wtf??

Of COURSE they were. What else can you say about a guy who says “my fellow prisoners” in a speech to Americans, who can’t remember the names of the 5 secretaries of state who endorsed him, who crashes airplanes like there’s no tomorrow, and whose runningmate graciously thanks the pranksters who complimented her on the porno documentary done about her.

Anyone with a pair of synapses still firing realizes that the Repug ticket is nothing but a laugh riot.

And even pulling with all their might, Faux Spews could only come up with a few bogus claims to try and slander Obama/ Biden”. “Ooooh, he’s got a funny middle name”…maybe he’s related to Saddam! Gasp! “Oooh Joe Biden has a hair transplate (McF*ck couldn’t even resist mentioning that during the debate, he was so at a loss for words of any substance”!! Tee hee! Giggle giggle!

If the “drive-by media” really wanted to take on the forces of evil, the would have hired Keith Olberman or Rachel Maddow to write their stuff. And there’s no end of material to work with.

  24. Cow-Paddy says:

Yup, only took 15 minutes this morning, later it took only 5 minutes.

After lunch it was really dead in there so I was in and out. I asked if I could have a second go-round as no one was there and they gave me two extra ballots.

This afternoon around 3:00 it took me almost 30 minutes as the after work crowd was coming in. The poll clerk asked me to save my voting for later when the crowd thinned some.

I checked out another polling place and managed to get in three votes there. Such friendly people those Democrats.

  25. Olo Baggins of Bywater says:

Paddy….what I said was watch them. If you have any brains all, you’ll see the bias on FNC quickly and often. It’s in their pores and oozing out.

If that study has to do with who did more negative stories on whom, it’s flawed. And worthless.

Watch FNC as I described. You don’t need a study to do your thinking.
