I’m guessing there is a disconnect that this is a blog. Blogs are opinion-based. How the term objective applies to any of them is perplexing. Yet, many seem to cry foul every time opinion is presented. If this blog leans in a certain direction, why complain? There are plenty of other blogs that sway in a more favorable direction. Like television, the easiest way to fix any issues with the content is to change channels.

As for the topic of this post: someone got fired over this wardrobe error; or this explains better why so many in her party are asking McCain to reconsider.

Sarah Palin was appearing at this rally with several former Hillary supporters who are now backing McCain/Palin (aka the PUMAs). McCain’s rallies have been drawing significant numbers of Democrats, particularly those who are disgusted with the fraud perpetrated in the Democrat caucus (See “We will not be silenced” 4 part documentary series on YouTube).

1.) It’s the Reps money and they raised it. If they want to spend it dressing her up so be it.

2.) When people get personal and don’t address issues I tend to think it’s because they know something about themselves that stinks.

The fashion idiocy I always laugh about is that Palin always wears a pin that looks like a flag, but not a flag pin. She would rather wear something flashy than something that is an accurate representation of the flag.

Do you have any idea how hateful, insulting, and disrespectful you are when you prey on pray for and atheist?

1) You completely discount the atheist’s own feelings on the subject.
2) You completely deny the atheist his/her right to freedom of and from religion.
3) If your god actually were to exist, you would be invoking an angry desert war god (assuming you’re religion to be a flavor of the Judeo-Christian-Islamic religion, deliberately singular) and attracting the attention of said “angry, jealous god” to the existence of said atheist so that your god might smite him/her.

You really should learn a bit of respect for people. Oh, and by the way, your god likely doesn’t approve of birth control, so while I applaud you for not committing an innocent individual to live in our present world or furthering the problem of too many humans on the planet, I must say, according to your religion, you likely are going to hell, unless you’re Jewish, in which case, there is no hell.

Interesting study. They didn’t list the media outlets, only a count of them. I’d be curious if they included Faux Snews among them.

I’d also be curious to know whether they consider outright lies, such as “McCain is a moderate” to be positive in tone, which it is, and unfairly so. (For anyone who thinks McCain actually is a moderate, please cite a few issues on which you think so.)

IMHO, the press has given him a free pass for not highlighting all of the truly evil stuff about him. For example:

1) Was instrumental in the S&L scandal and more recently in causing the current economic crisis and received much money in kickbacks for doing so. Admittedly, this was not single-handed in either case. However, he still believes in the same economic philosophy that caused both.

2) Crashed 5 planes through willful negligence, once causing an international incident over a blackout and once landing him as a prisoner of war.

3) Immediately haggled with North Koreans for a trip to the hospital, offering military secrets in exchange.

4) Upon return from Nam, noted that his beautiful wife had had a disfiguring car accident and dumped her for the beer heiress that would later fund his campaigns. He actually got the marriage license for wife 2 before the divorce with wife 1 was finalized.

Just another thought to add to that collection. If the media reports a fact that is genuinely fact and is negative about the person, how did your press study record that?

Would reporting that he said “bomb bomb bomb bomb bomb Iran” be considered negative?
