Pretty much. The ending was completely unnecessary and wasn’t really funny at all.
Mom would put us kids on dog leashes hooked to a waist harness to make sure we didn’t run off. She got hassled a lot for that even though she still maintains it is safe and makes good sense. Good training for walking dogs.
Still don’t see it today.
