Look! There’s Bill Ayres hiding behind a tree. |
Major League Baseball has agreed to push back the start time of Game 6 of the World Series by about 15 minutes so that Fox Broadcasting Co. could sell Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama half an hour of prime time on Oct. 29.
The campaign also has bought the same time period — 8 p.m. on Oct. 29 — on CBS and NBC so that he can run a 30-minute program on all of the networks. Each network is selling the time for between $950,000 to $1 million. Buying time on all of the major broadcast networks would allow Obama to reach more than 20 million people on the Wednesday before the election. A spokesman for Fox said the network will make available a similar 30-minute block of time for the Republican candidate, Sen. John McCain, if he chooses. Time for McCain would be either later that night (if there is no Game 6) or the following evening.
This would be “Tee Hee” with all caps if I could stand it.
Go for the kill! Yeah.
I am working hard to deliver Texas for Obama. It’s a tough state but I have a ‘can do’ attitude. I’m confident that the civilized areas like Austin, Dallas and possibly Houston would come through but there the bible belt buckle has millions hard to get to.
I’ll keep trying.
By the way, if you want to watch the second part of John Cleese’s interview, where he talks about Obama, Biden, Fox News, it’s here:

I hope you’ll like it too…
Take me out from the bull game
Take me out to from the clowns
Ply me with earmarks and cracker jokes
I don’t care for either of these blokes..
weird i heard that McCain had bought time and that Obama was thinking about it, not the other way around. I might just be losing it.
I know this is hard for some of you to understand, but I’ll try…
Fox is different than Fox News. Same parrent company, nothing else. Further, Fox has not only has a liberal bias over time, it has clashed with Fox News when those biases have intersected. Look up information on The Simpsons and Fox News from about five years ago for more information.
#1 – I didn’t know they ice skated in Texas, much less uphill.
#3 – Not only do I agree, I suspect the majority of the country feels that way… as well as many folks posting around here. Too many people feel like they need to pick a side.
I have already made my choice. As a result every time I see anything political I change the channel. I may need to replace my channel buttons after election day.
Who wrote obama’a “autobiography”.
http://www.americanthinker.com/2008/10/who_wrote_dreams_from_my_fathe_1.html
When the media outlets think they’ll get better ratings off the 452974684th political speech than off the World Series, you know that baseball is a train wreck.
Two types of people I wouldn’t cross the street to watch…..
over-hyped pre-madonnas and, uh….
OK, one type.
@BillM
That would be “prima donna.” It is a term from the ballet. Something I suspect you turn your nose up at, being the self-professed snob that you are.
Thank God for Tivo!!!

>>Who wrote obama’a “autobiography”.
Sweet mother of God. FOUR THOUSAND WORDS to say “Gee, I don’t have any idea who wrote Obama’s autobiography (and no proof that someone else wrote it), but I don’t think he did”.
Talk about yer verbal diarrhea. That guy needs some Imodium. Intravenous. STAT!!
>I am the latte-sipping, New York Times-reading, Volvo-driving, no-gun-owning, effete, politically correct, arrogant liberal. Who wants somebody like that?
Obama thinks reading the New York Times is a bad thing.

You’re making even less sense than usual. WTF are you talking about?
Bill Ayers wrote Obama book. You did not read the whole article. I know it was written at a higher level than 9th grade. Try to read it again. Use critical thinking visit http://www.judicial-inc.biz/1_master_supreme.htm
#14, that was a quote from Obama. He said Fox News was making him look like a bad person.

Oh yes I did. All 4000 words of it. And it was dreadful. I’ll sure never read any book THAT guy writes! Man, O Manischewitz! I was almost comatose before I got through the stilted prose, the unfounded allegations, the guesses, and the bullshit
And when he blurts out gems like “Ayers and Obama have a good deal in common. In the way of background, both grew up in comfortable white households and have struggled to find an identity as righteous black men ever since.” all I can do is shake my head in pity at anyone who believes this guy’s mindless blather. “comfortable white households”? Has this guy even read the 25-word synopsis of Obama’s biography?
In any case, the whole 4000 words is nothing more than the lunatic ranting of an Obama-hating Hoosier. The guy has absolutely no proof that Obama didn’t write the book. His most compelling argument seems to be that Obama is a wannabe-whitey who was born a darkie, and he can’t write that well.
Pffft.

Use critical thinking when you post links. Whatever you intended, that link goes to a “cannot find server” error message.
Sam,
I have no idea what your point is. Whether Obama or s ghost writer wrote the book means squat. When you want to point out the literary gems McCain has written and can convince a DU Editor to post something on the subject, let us know.
Until that time, get a life.
Ayres is the guy in the raincoat with no trousers.
#19, Some,
True, like most people, Ayres wears pants. Elitist Republican dilettantes were trousers.
