Damn. I was hoping a fist fight would break out. At least they more or less actually ‘debated.’
Oh, well, you know what to do, Joe the Plumber.

#91 Gary, the dangerous infidel
That was great! I nearly spit up on my screen.
Scott what does Swiss cheese have to do with anything? Real Swiss cheeses is banned in the US.

Hey! I thought your tighty-righties were the ones that were against reproductive rights for individuals!!
Are you saying you disavow McBush’s position on that??

Ahhh, those were the days, huh? Before Dumbya and the Repugs got their sweaty little hands on America’s checkbook and spent us down the toilet, DOUBLING the national debt.
#91 “Paddy-O, you seem to be catching a lot of flak from some of the liberals ”
Don’t worry. It mostly occurs when I catch and point out blatant lies that are spread by them on the board.
As there are many that I catch, it happens often.
#94 J, it’s funny you should mention spitting up, since my first reaction to last night’s debate was disappointment that Obama never did a spit-take to one of McCain’s comments. Wouldn’t that have been a riot? Those things have so little comic relief (sigh).

OH THE IRONY!!!
#100 JJ “OH THE IRONY!!!”
Yes, it is ironic, considering that you’re a one of the major culprits. 😉

>>Real Swiss cheeses is banned in the US.
Wtf are you talking about, Lyin’ Mike? Are you lyin’ again?
Real Swiss cheese is readily available in the US. They may not sell it at the Super Wal*Mart where you get your food, but I have half a dozen stores within 5 miles that sell real Swiss cheese.
For example, at all-American Applegate Farms, they proudly states that their Natural Emmentaler Swiss Cheese “…. is imported directly from Switzerland and possesses a nutty, almost fruity flavor. Not only does it pair very well with fresh fruit, it is perfect in grilled sandwiches or atop steamy French Onion soup.”

You need to get out more. Or else stop lyin’.
# 101 Paddy-O
Hey! Paste Eater. That wouldn’t be defined as irony.
I will take your challenge. Name one post on this board where I have lied about anything. Now lets remember you have the burden of proof so claiming it just won’t make it so.
My guess is as usual you won’t even try and you will run away from the argument and move onto somthing else.
#95 – MikeN,
Scott what does Swiss cheese have to do with anything? Real Swiss cheeses is banned in the US.
It was just an example of something not made in this country (or at least not made well in this country) that has gone up dramatically as our dollar has been flushed down the toilet by both parties, but much more rapidly by the borrow and bombers.
Oh, and of course, Swiss cheese from Switzerland is readily available all over this country, as Mr. Mustard has pointed out.
Conclusion:
Let a Black guy or Women have the job..NO SMART WHITE MAN, wants to be responsible for cleaning up the MESS.
Here’s a bit more on Joe the Plumber.
I wonder if Joe the Plumber can see Russia from the window of his plumbing business.
“50% of small business income taxes are paid by small businesses.” Way to go McCain.
#109–miamiandy==that sounds really dumb but even dumber is: “who pays the other half?”
Time for some heretical talk. You know, taxes and interest rates can up and down. Sometimes it’s good to do one, sometimes it’s good to do the other.
George HW Bush lost an election but kicked the US out of a recession by raising taxes. It was the right thing at the time. Ronald Reagan raised interest rates to stop inflation. Sometimes you have to do the hard thing, even if it’s unpopular.
The only difference between the two was that the Gipper could get away with it.
With a purposeful grimace and a terrible sound
He pulls the volatile stock market down
Helpless people on a subway train
Scream bug-eyed as the camera looks in on them
He picks up Plumber Joe and he throws him back down
As he tears through the small business owners in the rest of town
Oh no, they say hes got to go
Go go Fedzilla, …yeah
Oh no, there goes America
Go go Fedzilla, yeah
Regarding, Swiss cheese, maybe I’m wrong about this, but I read a few years ago that since it was made out of unpasteurized milk, that the USDA didn’t allow it. Most of what sells as Swiss cheese is made in America and is not authentic. The real reason for the price increase on that has nothing to do with exchange rates and is inflation.
#81, bobbo,
I would MUCH, MUCH, MUCH rather pay more taxes on making $250K, than get a small tax rebate on making $100K.
Very good point. The whole gist of the argument quietly summed up.
#83, Dallas,
I think he should be killed.
I might not have said it first, but I certainly believed it first.
# 89 Misanthropic Scott. “So, back to the borrow and bomb republicans. Why do you think them more likely to get us out of this mess than the democrats?”
Interesting link especially the heading and the last sentence.
“The elected representatives of the United States share responsibility for making the decisions which bring about changes in the national debt. All spending bills start in the House of Representatives. Debt has increased more under Democrat-controlled Congresses than Republican-controlled ones.”
#116 – Webbie
>>”Debt has increased more under Democrat-
>>controlled Congresses than Republican-
>>controlled ones.”
Let’s see a link to that, son. So far, we have seen indisputable evidence that the debt has increased more under Republican presidents (link posted many times).
Let’s see what you’ve got to back up that statement.
