Come on Obama. No need to sink to McCain’s level to win this election.
Oops!… Obama Camp Caught Scrubbing Its “Fight the Smears” Webpage on ACORN
The Obama Campaign privately updated its “Fight the Smears” webpage this week after it was discovered that they had not been telling the truth about Barack Obama’s extensive ties to the radical ACORN organization.
The Obama Campaign claimed that Barack was never an ACORN trainer and that he was not associated with ACORN in 1992:
• Fact: Barack was never an ACORN community organizer.
• Fact: Barack was never an ACORN trainer and never worked for ACORN in any other capacity.
• Fact: ACORN was not part of Project Vote, the successful voter registration drive Barack ran in 1992But, after the Cleveland Leader discovered archived documents that proved that Obama did indeed work as a trainer for ACORN and work with ACORN in 1992, the Obama Camp scrubbed the webpage with new “facts”.
This was rather slow coming to the surface.
These dweebs think ACORN is “radical”.
They may be hustlers who make a quick buck from sloppy voter registration drives (my personal opinion)- but, the only thing radical for a McCain supporter and what’s left of the Republikan Party is that they register voters in Black and Hispanic communities.
Enough to induce fear and trepidation in any “USA – USA – USA” politician.
I still don’t understand why Dvorak insist on using a Nazi mobile artillery piece when trying to make an illustration of Mr.Obama (cf. the banner)
What’s the real deal on this ACORN group? Are they truly radical, or just a democrat get-out-the-vote machine, which went a little too far?
This week, I am definitely voting for McCain. I’ll keep you posted.
My peanut butter and jelly sandwich is radical.
(I put some raisins in it.)
Thank you for some balance! Now if only the professional print/TV press in this country could crawl out of the Obama tank for a moment. But no! Their little liberal hearts are all aflutter at the idea of helping making history happen instead of doing their job getting the facts and asking the tough questions. The American voter is quite capable of making the right decision without their hand holding.
I don’t believe that ACORN rises to the level of “radical,” but what is concerning is how the Obama camp denied the relationship for so long. It’s not like his resume is so long that they just overlooked it.
Wait a sec…. how does getting a visit from your state’s senator qualify as “working for”? Technically, he works for all Illinois citizens.
4% of the bailout is going to ACORN for redistribution to communities.

Oh, snoooooooooooorrre
From:
>>• Fact: Barack was never an ACORN community >>organizer.
>>• Fact: Barack was never an ACORN trainer >>and never worked for ACORN in any other >>capacity.
>>• Fact: ACORN was not part of Project Vote,
>>the successful voter registration drive
>>Barack ran in 1992
to:
>>• Fact: Barack was never an ACORN community
>>organizer.
>>• Fact: ACORN never hired Obama as a
>>trainer, organizer, or any type of employee.
>>• Fact: ACORN was not part of Project Vote, >>the successful voter registration drive >>Barack ran in 1992.
and from that, they conclude that he was so gung-ho about ACORN that he worked for them for free. Where’s the proof of that?
And at the end of the day, who really gives a shit? The only reason anyone considers ACORN as “radical” is that the Repubs have fabricated a bunch of imaginary tales about “election fraud” involving ACORN. When THEY (the repubs), by no small coincidence, were the ones engaging in the fraudulent behavior.
I know you’re trying to be Fair And Balanced(TM), Unk, but is this the worst thing you could come up with on Obama?
The election is over. 98 more days, and the movers will be carting his shit to the White Houe.
YAWN
Nothing illegal. Nothing unethical. Nothing even philosophically wrong. What’s the story? He worked in Chicago getting poor folks to vote and find jobs. Shocking! What a bastard! What a scum bag…right…er…or something. Yawn. Call me back if you find HE did something wrong, not that he once walked into a building or passed someone on the street who did something or know someone that did something wrong. LOL
Meanwhile my 401k is still down 35% from 2 years ago. Keating Five?
@#10: “Wait a sec…. how does getting a visit from your state’s senator qualify as “working for”?” – That was Obama’s original (lie) claim. If you read the article you’ll find that he worked for them in two crucial ways: 1) Lawyer for Acorn 2) “Educating” Acorn Community Organizers. Finally there is a 800000$ payment to Acorn from the Obama’s campaign funds (worth every penny for the miracles of multiplying the living and raising the dead).
I am really trying to figure out what the big deal about ACORN is. The word “radical” is really overused in these campaigns. From what I can tell it’s an advocacy group for lower income families, that has had a problem with overzealous voter registration drives.
It should be noted that fake voter registration vary rarely leads to real votes.
This sound like more manufactured outrage to me. Can someone point me to some credible source that supports the assertion that ACORN is some sort of radical organization?
So Obama is just like other pols & lies when it suits him?
I thought the Messiah was above that.

>>I mean c’mon, is “they’re not really
>>radical” the only thing you can come up with?
That’s all that’s needed. It cuts this “scandal” off at the knees.
They’re not radical,so what’s the bfd? So Democrat Obama had some peripheral dealings with a Democrat-oriented voter registration organization.
Is this the worst thing the right wingnuts can come up with to “taint” Obama? If so, he’s pure as the driven snow. Talk about a tempest in a teapot.
The only people who care about this are the cross-eyed mutants showing up at McBush rallies, shouting “OFF WITH HIS HEAD”.
Next.
I don’t think it matters
If Senator Obama came out tomorrow and made a speech claiming he was the anti Christ come to take over the world, the press would either not cover it at all or have a dozen “experts” on to tell you why it doesn’t matter or it will be good for the middle class
Wave bye-bye, Barack…bye-bye.
wait a second here…voter fraud being accused of someone from Illinois?? say is isnt so. Coming from the capital of voter fraud, this really doesnt surprise me
Now, if he’ll tell the truth about the sermons he heard from Jeremiah Wright, and his relationship with William Ayers. But of course he only admits when the evidence is overwhelming that he’s lying.
Barack Obama is the first black Bill Clinton.
Welcome to the new regime…

#22 brendal, Don’t hold your breath waiting for a point by point FACTUAL rebuttal of this news article. You’ll be attacked for presenting truth but, there will be no actual deconstruction attempted.
No doubt, Paddy…the IQ level on this board is inversely related to the bias factor…not good numbers.
@ #22 #23
I mean that’s pretty funny stuff. Lets say it’s true. Hows that any different from the mobilization of the Roves Republican party? In particular the faith based variety, hate mongering and so forth . And in terms of censorship and distortion, well you’ve only got to look at Fox news to see what goes down.
So at worst it’s the democrats doing the same as the Republicans have been doing for years.
Not great – but whats good for the goose is good for the gander. No?
#25 Umm, read the article posted on #22.

Bye-bye to the Senate, HELLOOOOO 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
As to your link the the Washington Times, heh. When I want straightforward, hard-hitting journalism, I ALWAYS to the the Reverend Sun Myung Moon’s paper. There’s no place like the Moonies to get accurate information.
HAW!!

That’s a mighty harsh self-criticism, considering that you (and O’Pinocchio) are among the most biased posters on this board.
#24 “No doubt, Paddy…the IQ level on this board is inversely related to the bias factor…not good numbers.”
See #28. My prediction was correct.

Just because you right wingnut hacks are being pounded into oblivion (both here and in real life) is no reason to get pissy.
If you have a rebuttal, rebut. I’m kind of getting used to your “nah-nee nah-nee boo boo, you’re a big dum-dum head” style of posting, though. And I imagine it’s all you’re capable of.
I’m glad to see this article has re-energized the disheartened republipukes here.
Uncle Dave needs to throw a bone or two in here for the R’pukes every so often to keep them for fleeing to O’Reiley Uncensored.
