This is a sketch from the hilarious Canadian TV show, This Hour has 22 Minutes. This sort of gag would not be allowed on American TV I am sure.

This is actually a spoof of a commercial that a Canadian bank plays

    Still no posts?

It reminds me of my good friends 2nd marriage. Two kids, he adopted her teenage son and was putting him thru college but they weren’t getting along. After a year of counseling with two different therapists she announced she wanted a divorce as she had been having an affair for 2 years and now wanted to marry the other guy. She didn’t want to bring the subject up during therapy because it would have been disruptive to her plans.

Another good friends ex-wife after filing for divorce adopted a kid from Mexico and then sued him for child support. When the judge said no, the adoption somehow didn’t go through.

    No fault divorce.

I know all about the “advantages” but in fact some people are at fault and somehow “justice” is being denied.

Amazing how hypcritically self centered people can be.

Heh There are advantages to living on the border with Canada. I get channel 9 (CBC out of Windsor) and get to see this hilarious show. It’s one of my favorites. Good find John!

Wouldn’t four more years be ideal. Lets elect another Bush so we can claim to be the last people who lived in the old USA. Sort of like being the last Roman to leave Rome as the country crumbled into the earth. Oh well it was a nice 250 years, to bad we screwed it all up in 8 short years of greed and superstition.

I love this one from Rick this week. My 19 year uni student daughter has been showing it all over campus:

  6. brendal says:

When Canada’s government stops censoring content, I’ll pay attention.

  7. Mark says:

#6 – What content is the Canadian government censoring? If you’re going to throw something like that out there you should state what you’re referring to.

  8. akroeze says:

    #6:

That’s right, because the American gov’t doesn’t have a giant three lettered organization that censors things.

    Oh… wait…

  9. brendal says:

    #7 & #8

Look it up yourself – reading is FUNdamental! Oh…and knowledge is POWER!

  10. akroeze says:

    #9:

Look what up? We’re not denying that censoring goes on for television content…. but it is no different than anywhere else. In fact, our television censoring is less strict than the American censoring in many ways.

  11. QB says:

brendal is probably talking about the Little Sisters bookstore vs Canada customs thing. Of course, one has to wonder what that has to do with This Hour has 22 Minutes is mystery.

  12. brendal says:

How did I end up in the kiddie pool?? Time to swim to deeper waters…here’s some water wings…I’m outta here:

    LOL!

I’ve run into this also. I still find Canuks that think that the Canadian Head of State is the P.M. Not a clue that they are headed by another country altogether. I thought I was just meeting the mentally challenged. However, I just read the article you referenced. See below…

“The report also looked at Canadian children’s general knowledge of their government and most could not identify the Canadian head of state (Queen Elizabeth II)”

  14. QB says:

Wow, why does brendal hate gay and lesbians?

  15. akroeze says:

Oh look, a Wiki that vaguely refers to some cases in the past where censorship has occured. Oh no.

  16. QB says:

akroeze, damn brendel stopped responding to my troll bait. On the plus side, paddy fell for it. 😉
