  1. LinusVP says:

Keeping XP alive for 6 more months just proves what a failure Vista was. I work in an enterprise with about 5,000 end users and not once have we discussed moving to Vista. We’re actually looking at OSX and so far we’re really liking it.

  2. Bill says:

Look at linux too! a surprising number of large engineering firms use it. Because they have access to the source code.

You should figure out a better site design for it.

  5. ECA says:

    depression and recession?
the only difference is How many get fired so the RICH can still get the same amount of money.

  6. B. Dog says:

In August HP announced it will lay off 24,600 workers as it integrates Electronic Data Systems. I suppose those 1400 are part of that batch.

  7. Stu Mulne says:

People who are laid off in these “cost cutting” efforts usually end up finding that the “survivors” need to do their work, too.

    This has to trash morale….

  8. troublemaker says:

Ebay and HP are cutting jobs because nobody is lending short-term (Commercial Paper) loans at the moment. This is the day-today loans that are needed by big business for daily operating costs.

Wait ’till your local grocery store chain shuts down due to lack of cash flow. That’s when the fun starts.
