This all part of their post-Seinfeld advertising. Is it working? You know, the one created on that other computer.
I Could Be Wrong, But I Think Steve Ballmer Likes PCs. And Microsoft.

that by itself does not work. mixed in with a bunch of of other “i’m a pc”…..maybe i don’t know.
i do think the ads are working.they are selling microsoft as this world wide everyman computer. the teacher and kids in the third world country, was a masterstroke.
Hey, if Microsoft had made MY net worth almost FIFTEEN friggin BILLION DOLLARS, I’d love them too.
For the rest of us who are not Steve Ballmer and who have watched MSFT stock flatline since the dot com bubble burst, or who have had to use their shitty products…pffffft. Not so much.
If there was ever a reason why people are moving to Macs, it would be this guy.
I don’t care how rich he is, he comes across as a bully and a thug. If that’s the image Microsoft wants for their company, well, it’s working.
My bets are that their market share will be down again next quarter.
Ballmer is an arrogant bald idiot. He’s also bald. Bald men are inherently evil and untrustworthy just like men with bushy moustaches. Ballmer should get hair plugs like Joe Biden so little children wouldn’t cry in fear when he approaches them.
At least he is trying…
I got one: Mac & Cheese. Can you eat it without cheeeese? Now wheres my check?
Do you think this guy knows he’s an asshole?
#7 Do you think he cares?
PC – Potentially Crazy
Thanks for the great post!
Whoa. Didn’t thought it took soo long to have this clip posted here. First time I saw the commercial immediately thought it would make it here…
This ad is SOOOO HUMILIATING for PC users. Shame on this low standard ads like this from Microsoft.
Behold, your CEO. Say what you want about Steve Jobs, at least he isn’t CRAZY! Ballmer doesn’t even seem to be able to buy a clue.
This is the Steve Ballmer we know and love. I see a Ballmer-Palin ticket in 2012 for the Republicans!
Didn’t anyone seem to notice that the office building seemed to be empty?
My guess is all the regular employees scrambled for cover when they heard him coming.
“I AM a PC!”
“I WILL rip your HEAD off!”
“I AM F***ing CRAZY!”
Msoft is notable for how it moves to things. When they started getting antitrust flack in the US everyone noticed they had no lobbyists.
Forward two years and all the proper palms were being greased and outreach made. They developed a great operation that has persisted to this day.
I think the same is true with advertising. Once they awoke to the reality that they would spend money on this they will do so, and do so intelligently.
Don’t forget Ballmer’s assertion that Msoft was moving away from being a technology company to being a promotional company. Apple has already done this.
Msoft and Apple are very similar. I don’t have any emotional attachment to either one.
What would be funny, though, would be the “I am a Linux box” commercials.
I am Linux box, and I’m really glad it installed correctly.
This is your stock price in May of 1998,$26.16.
This is your stock price in Sept 2008,$26.16.
No, the stock never split.
You are a bum who has done nothing for shareholders in 10 years.
Say what you want about Steve Jobs, at least he isn’t CRAZY!
Uh. I like Steve Jobs. (I like Gates too.)
But I should point out that Jobs is batshit insane and always has been. He’s also (famously) an uber-bully and a super asshole.
He just happens to be a really really good manager, and in spite of his character flaws (or maybe because of them) he can/has/does inspire people to do great work. Most of the time.
Blame it on bad acid.
I’m a PC and I run Linux!!!
