Is this really a UFO? – Metro.co.uk: Andrew Baskeyfield spotted the unexplained ball of light circling above his home in Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire, at about 7:30pm Monday night.
The bright white dot, which was still visible in daylight against the blue cloudy sky, is simultaneously seen dancing around the screen of three separate mobile phones belonging to the 23-year-old, his father and older brother.
Andrew said: “It was really weird – like a round ball that seemed to be on fire. It was moving really fast at a steady speed and kept at the same height.
Staff at a nearby airfield also said they had no records of any aircraft activity in the area at the time of the sighting.
This bizarre phenomenon comes after five unexplained ‘fireballs’ were recently seen over Bristol, which prompted fears of a potential UFO invasion.
Not every airplane files a flight plan. If you’re a private pilot, you may be flying without one. That’s clearly a reflection.
Oh yeah. Those are the guys from Barabulus 9.
Mylar balloon
Holy crap, that’s the clearest UFO picture I’ve ever seen! I mean, how could you possibly fake a perfectly rectangular dot! And people still don’t believe…
That’s a square of light. Not a ball.
They’re looking for Adam Curry. He’s in trouble for revealing the Pleadians or whatever to the public too soon.
It was JCD looking for some more anti-British crap for this rag!
It’s the Windows 98 Dialog Box Aliens.
I loved the story about the guy who called 911 to report a UFO. When the sheriff pulled up the guy had his screen door in hand, ripped out by the hinges when he ran to call. By that time the “UFO” had gotten close enough…to see…that…MY GOD it was the Goodyear Blimp!!!!
If it’s in the U.K., then wouldn’t there be a good chance that it’s a flying surveillance camera?
That’s no moon, it’s a space station.
Why call someone a crackpot just for saying they saw something unusual?
With all the digital cameras and camcorders around why can’t we get some decent images? If you want to claim you saw a UFO, be prepared to provide some support.
That’s what you usually see, what I call “UFO Quality Photos” – grainy, out of focus, and usually with camera-shake !!! I’ll believe it when they show the LGMs – LITTLE GREEN MEN !!!
“Sparking fears of a UFO invasion?”
You gotta love the media..
All my life been waiting to see a UFO, finally in may of this year I saw 4 flying over the city of Bilbao at night. It was disappointing. No ultra fast flying with erratic movements. They seemed to float upward on the breeze. They were bright red lights, like highway flares tied to baloons, They made no noise and nobody but me seemed to notice. When it happend I thought – run for the camera. Then I thought, why bother, lights seemingly floating up on the breeze at night. Wouldn’t be very interesting, plus if I show it to anyone they’d think I was just trying to get attention. That’s why most people don’t report these things.
Oh, great, another shaky, grainy, out-of-focus picture of who knows what, with nothing else in the frame, no reference point, etc., etc., etc.
Folks, if you ever want to take pictures/video of a UFO, HOLD THE CAMERA STEADY! Brace it against something. Get something else in the frame, a tree branch, a telephone wire, the edge of a building, SOMETHING, so viewers can at least judge how much the camera is shaking. If you can, set the focus to infinity or find some way to keep the focus mechanism from constantly shifting in and out.
Every time I see yet another shaky, grainy, out-of-focus, scratchy, noisy UFO video, I want to track down the photographer and smash his camera (& maybe his nose). So many people desperately want the rest of us to take all this B.S. seriously, yet this s**t is the best they can come up with? Now this #$%^&* is even starting to show up on the History Channel — yet another sign of the Apocalypse…
looks like a water spot on the camera
Ok, for all you who whine about the picture, there is a UFO outside your window RIGHT NOW. You have 10 seconds to get your wits, such as they are, about you and grab a camera to snap a shot before it’s gone.
Now tell us honestly which camera you grabbed, the 1.3 megapixel cell phone at your hip, or the 20 megapixel digital SLR in the closet?
Alien ships evidently approach Earth, enter its atmosphere, and penetrate US airspace completely undetected. But then they get nailed by a grandmother in Phoenix with a $20 camera phone. Good job, ET.
Maybe it’s one of those broadband balloons..
..or a Russian spy UAV that lost its anti-reflective coat.
