1. Stars & Bars says:

One of the best uses of a fighter jet I’ve seen.

  2. eyeofthetiger says:

Nice audio track, but I want to hear the jets.

  3. Pete says:

Fighter pilots have all the fun..

  4. BigJoe says:

    Can’t help but think… …doesn’t it look a lot like a pod race I saw once…

  5. bobbo says:

Well, that strikes me as stupidly wreckless. Can achieve every bit the same by dodging clouds and if you are a bit off, no harm.

I kept my plane low once after take-off from Addis Abbaba and flew low over tribal huts and what not. Went over a ridge and almost got taken out by a flock of birds. Never stayed low again after that, but it was fun while it lasted.

  6. Greg Allen says:

Join the military as a teen and get paid to screw around with a $25 million dollar toy. (and even crash a few, like John McCain.)

Quite young and use the FREE government training to earn six figures as a commercial pilot.

Then spend your retirements years complaining when single moms get $437 a month.

    Republicanism rocks!

  7. TomB says:

#7, So what would you do to fix it? Give the mom flight training, too?

  8. JTE says:

Pretty good flying for a Frenchie!

  9. Paddy-O says:

#7 What are you babbling about? You don’t want the US to have Navy, Air Force or Marine Corp pilot?

  10. Miguel says:

Great video, but what really makes it is Johnny Cash’s song! Cooooool, man!

  11. Unimatrix0 says:

Oh yeah….flyin like that is all well and good until someone gets an eye put out.

  12. Balbas says:

What kind of Mirage was that?

  13. mikel says:

It seems to me the jet jockey has it throttled WAY back… I expected to see a lot more speed.
Unless there’s some reason it can’t reach its limit at low altitude…

  14. Paddy-O says:

#14 “Unless there’s some reason it can’t reach its limit at low altitude…”

    Inadequate avionics.

  15. chris says:

I have no basis for this, but I’d guess it’s Israeli. They have good reason to. It goes with the territory they’d have to fly over when making an attacking run. Any potential targets have very poor air wings but lots of ground based air defense. Since most of that stuff is numerous, poorly manned and maintained, and lower end Russian, slower and very low is the way to go.

  16. Paddy-O says:

#17 “I have no basis for this, but I’d guess it’s Israeli.”

Israel hasn’t used a Mirage in a LONG time. They fly F-16s.

  17. BubbaRay says:

It’s a good thing they don’t have the TSA. Some moran would use that multi-instrument probe in front of the canopy as a hand-hold to break into the cockpit. 🙂

  18. Jägermeister says:

    #17 – Chris
    #18 – Paddy-O

    It’s French airplanes in Chad.

  19. Paddy-O says:

    #20 Yep.

  20. Jopa says:

Isn’t it a shame that such a fun machine is used for war and not sports?!

    Nascar of jets… he he

I would own a customized black bird! with added nitro punch to the engine pack! 😀

  21. hhopper says:

I think the computer was flying it.

  22. Jägermeister says:

    #23 – BubbaRay

    Me 163 Komet

  23. Rick Cain says:

The 2nd plane later in the video looks like a Super Etendard. I think those are more suited to such things as they function more as attack bombers or standoff Exocet platforms, so they gotta be sneaky.
