Change the hair a little. It’s pretty close.

  1. EeTt says:

Tina Fey is the Anti Palin

  2. That’s gotta be twins! VERY alike.

  3. TheMacMommy says:

“Live! from Alaska! It’s Saturday Night!” nah. Just doesn’t have the same ring to it.

Not sure which is going to suck more. SNL skits or Palin as VP. It’s a tough call.

  4. jbenson2 says:

How about a MAC vs a PC comparison?
    Obama vs Palin

  5. thejoereview says:

F-U! Annie Potts is more like it!

  6. northcoaster says:

The difference is, Tina Fey is brilliant.

  7. TheJim says:

    Politics aside, she’s a MILF.

  8. sirfelix says:

Wow, very similar. The only difference is Tina Fey is more qualified for the VP spot.
On a positive note, after McCain dies they can bring in Tina Fey to act as a Brain Double for the president.

  9. Dan says:

Yeah, change the hair… and also, make the old bible-basher attractive, and yeah sure they’d look a little similar.

  10. When watching the live CNN feed and seeing a press photo of her with blonde hair, a then seeing her walk out on stage as a brunette, the first thing I heard at our lunch table was ‘Wow, Tina Fey is going to get a lot of extra work playing a VP on. SNL. Too funny.

Side note: is it just me, or does John mention Tina Fey any chance he gets??

  11. zachbass says:

The decision by McCain to choose a virtual unknown is disturbing, and you have to question that judgement. I personally think Romney would have been the best choice, although the American people and the left will not let go of his Mormonism.

But this is no reason for the vitriol I see here for Sarah Palin. Unless all the commenters here are Obama sycophants. Then it would all make sense, that it would have mattered who McCain chose.

Now, if she uses a Mac, then that will raise my opinion of her greatly! It may raise a few other things as well. A beautiful, conservative Mac users. Excuse me, I gotta go.

  12. Dallas says:

The irrational selection of Palin is all the entertainment I can stand for a week.
As someone else put it, this IS a circus.

  13. flashkube says:

Dvorak must have meant mother and daughter, right?

  14. Greg says:

VPILF if McCain wins and dies in office–PILF!!!

  15. Mr. Fusion says:

MILF ??? Have you people no sense of taste. The only way I’d boff her is they threw a flag over her face and I was ordered to do it for my country.

People, some of us do have a sense of moral values that transcend our more primal instincts. There is no way I could do it whilst know her screams of “Oh God” were actually being addressed to someone else.

Besides, Tina Fey exudes a confident sexuality. Palin is just another face waiting for the wrinkles.

  16. Me! says:

What a ridiculous charade the Republicans are trotting out. EVERYONE knows that women can’t be attractive and smart. Morons.

  17. oil of dog says:

    Which one is Tina??? 🙂

  18. gquaglia says:

#16 You must not get laid much, do you.

  19. Mr. Fusion says:

    #19, gq,

Sounds like you would screw any ole ditch pig that comes along. Congratulations, ditch pigs need loving too. Especially when they need some more crack.

My wife satisfies me to the point I don’t need to fantasize over some other man’s wife.

  20. Digby says:

I can tell by the comments here that the “Obama as Messiah” crowd is worried. What’s the matter? Don’t like the idea of a powerful woman from a truly free state? I am sure the anti gun crowd is trying to unknot their pink panties. Great move by John. I sent his campaign money, the first time I have sent any campaign money, and I will bet I am not the only one who appreciates his real “change” Biden? Give me a break!

  21. qsabe says:

Gotta give the old guy credit. He sure can pick lookers. If we are going to get fucked, let it be by lookers.

  22. J says:

    # 21 Digby

Yeah but the question is did you donate as much as myself and my wife did to Obama and the democratic party?

    My guess is probably not.

The money is on the democratic side this time my friend. Your team is going to lose and lose big.

  23. Mister Ketchup says:

If I had my choice I’d take Sarah. But then again she is not pro-choice.

  24. sniff says:

    # 17 Me!

And you just showed how ignorant you are. If you keep making comments like that every woman on the planet well back her.

  25. sniff says:

Everyone here is making judgment calls on her intellect and complaining about her experience.

    Lets compare:

Palin served two terms on the Wasilla, Alaska, City Council from 1992 to 1996, and was elected mayor of Wasilla twice, in 1996 and 1999. She also ran unsuccessfully for lieutenant governor of Alaska in 2002. Palin is the current Governor of the US state of Alaska and the presumptive Republican vice presidential nominee for the 2008 United States presidential election.

Obama was in the Illinois Senate from 1997 to 2004. He was unsuccessful in his bid for a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives in 2000, he announced his campaign for the U.S. Senate in January 2003 and when elected in 2004, only held the Senate position for 127 days before venturing off on his presidential campaign.

She has just as much experience as Obama, if not more..

  26. James Hill says:

The anti-Palin side is already failing and it hasn’t been a day. Proof it was a smart pick.

Also, Tina Fey’s 15 minutes are about over. She did nothing for SNL besides run off the little talent they had left, and “30 Rock” is entering its sink or swim season.

Then again, on NBC, being bad beats being pathetic… which if you haven’t noticed describes about everything else they’re doing these days.

  27. brendal says:

I would love to know what Tina Fey thinks about all of this!

  28. Paddy-O says:

#23 – J lied, “The money is on the democratic side this time my friend. Your team is going to lose and lose big.”

    Hmmm.

“The RNC outraised its rival (DNC) more than 2-1 in contributions and by $6 million in total receipts in July, and now has a $68 million advantage in cash-on-hand.”

  29. Arnold Hill says:

I think it’s funny that they look alike. Happy accident for Tina. Palin seems to be a well spoken Mrs. Smith goes to Washington. Honestly after hearing her speak for yen minutes on the news and a brief news bite of her past I would vote for her over Mccain or Obama in a three way race.

The fun reality is we are going to vote for an African-American president or a woman VP. So we are guareented to do something original.

  30. James Hill says:

#28 – My guess would be “Oh fuck. Now I have to go back on SNL to do a lame impression.”

Personally, I lost interest in the black framed glasses look after Lisa Loeb.
