Stupid Celebrities Gossip » Bristol Palin Pregnancy: Is VP Sarah Palin’s 5th Child Really Her Daughters? This is going to dominate the news this weekend. Generally a smear tactic does not go in this direction. The key elements are that there are few pics of Sarah pregnant and her daughter was out of school for an extended period with mono.

Obviously all we need is the birth certificate, a doctor, someone to confirm or deny the story. This could backfire or result in a McCain error in judgment. If you wanted to be a conspiracy theorist you could argue that this story was actually planted by Republicans to be proven false to cast aspersions on the Dems for being heartless since this poor woman is raising a baby with Down’s syndrome and now they are claiming it is not hers. Bastards!

We’ll see how it unfolds. It will be fun to watch either way.

Now being upfront, we have no idea if this story is true but sources say it’s correct. But Media Takeout is reporting that McCain’s vice-presidential pick, Sarah Palin, is said to have pretended her fifth child, Trig Palin, was hers… when actually the baby belonged to her teenage daughter, Bristol Palin.

UPDATE: Further research discovers a slew of fake blogs linking to a phony video linked in China! Here is the current list of fake WP Blogs with posts obviously designed to create a Google bomb. The plot thickens. Something is indeed being orchestrated. Seems amateurish. And apparently those sites try and load a Trojan — BE CAUTIOUS.

I love Craig, John I think you’ll like this video. Watch for the father son and holy ghost hand motions by Palin. It’s sunny up there along
    time ha ha.

  3. god says:

Outside of DU and Kos, the story is pretty much alive and well only among the nutball neocons who all have a wedgie. The funny part is that Palin is well on her way to becoming the Christian Right Wing answer to Princess Diana.

  4. Paddy-O says:

#26 “The Demo smear machine has been switched on to full throttle”

Of course. When you’re cornered and about to be annihilated, attack is the only workable strategy.

  5. Matt Garrett says:

According to Obama, that means she would be “punished with a baby.”

Does it DQ Sarah Palin? NOT AT ALL. This is seriously mudslinging and it’ll only get worse.

What do we expect from the Chicago political machine what will stop nothing, including registering DEAD PEOPLE, to win?

  6. kanjy says:

#1—It’s Riker. Seriously, it ruined the whole joke: I sat thinking of who Ricker is insteading of ROFLing.

  7. James Hill says:

Breaking News: It’s Saturday. Go outside, losers.

Honestly, the only thing sadder than the story is the hype mongers promoting it.

That would be most of you.

  8. QB says:

Lyndon Johnson was running for state senate and asked on his aides to start circulating a rumor that his opponent liked to go out behind his barn and have carnal relations with his animals.

His aide said, “We can’t call him a pig fucker! It’s not true!”

Johnson said, “It doesn’t have to be true. We just have to make him deny it in public.”

  9. bobbo says:

Well, I’ll say it again later, but I don’t think it is moral to bring deformed babies into the world. All that time, energy, resources should be spent on those who can benefit from it.

For those who disagree==fine, have at it. I’m not one to force my views on your thru force of law. Having babies is a function with effects. Having defective babies is not good.

  10. Esteban says:

    #26 & #29,

The Democrats do indeed have a smear machine. Unfortunately, it runs on Vista.

  11. Awake says:

DO NOT GO TO THE WEBSITE THAT IS LINKED IN THE ADDENDUM.
Every single one of those videos is linked to ActiveX trojans.

  12. Josef Chalmers says:

ITS AN INSIDE JOB. DVORAK IS TRYING TO DESTROY THE INTERNET!!!!

  13. ArianeB says:

Despite my attacks against Palin as a VP pick (I still think its a horrible pick), let me just say this:

All of this has been looked into, these rumors are totally false. End of story!

BTW the stories origins are not political, it started as a reaction to Palins weird flight from Texas to Alaska after her water broke, and people started inventing this conspiracy around it.

Nothing to see here, and continuing to spread rumors about a candidates family members is truly low.

  14. Baldrick says:

When she announced her pregnancy in March, Fox News said she didn’t look seven months pregnant. She did a Vogue layout in December, when she would have been five months pregnant, but didn’t mention it. She went into labor in Texas but got on a plane and flew home to Alaska before giving birth. The attendants on the flight said she did not look pregnant and did not ask for any special assistance. Even though she was supposedly in labor. Something smells awfully fishy.

  15. David says:

What are you talking about? I visit this website specifically for the conspiracy stuff. Makes a boring day at the office a bit more interesting I guess. Dvorak didn’t post the story because he believed it was true, he posted it because it looks like someone is up to something.

Not to mention, this story is more than just rumors. I’m sure a lot of you said the same thing about the Edwards affair… until you found out it was true.

  16. Stewart Urist says:

I am about as liberal as they come. I am very invested in having a democrat in the white house and I must confess that I do not care if it requires dirty tricks to make it happen. That all said, I was poking around some right wing blogs this afternoon to see what they had to say about the choice of Palin for VP. From there I was linked to a string of blogs that rather convincingly connected some smears to an official Obama web site. Of course they as outraged as I get when ever I see evidence of them doing the same to him.

  17. #43 – ArianeB

    >>All of this has been looked into,
    >>these rumors are totally false.

Then it should be no sweat to provide a link conclusively debunking this “myth”.

    Right?

  18. SN says:

Jeff “Ah, that’s so classy… there’s that true American spirit we all admire! Your parents must be so proud.

Actually, it’s a joke. A reference to a joke, more specifically. To a great attempt at defamation by the funny guys over at Penny Arcade.

  19. OvenMaster says:

#38: where was that anecdote when Lewinskygate erupted? A few tweaks and it would have come in real handy back then among Bill Clinton’s enemies.

  20. MikeN says:

Well the story sounds true, and really it can’t be proven either way.

  21. Mr. Fusion says:

    #43, Ariane,

Nothing to see here, and continuing to spread rumors about a candidates family members is truly low.

Does that mean we can’t discuss Cindy McCain’s abortion when she was 17 or Joe, John McCain’s younger brother, pretending he was gay in order to avoid the draft, or John McCain philandering with other women while his wife was seriously injured in hospital bed?

    :-/

  22. deowll says:

Even if I thought it were true other than pure slander I wouldn’t consider it an issue.

Kids make mistakes and parents clean up after them if they can.

to Ariane. If McCain did it or said it then it is an issue.

If others did it or said it then he is not the one that did it or said it and he is not accountable unless he approved.

The same goes for everybody. You should only be held accountable for you own foul ups.

  23. Mike in San Antonio says:

You’re all wrong…it’s COL Mustards in the dining room with a candle stick! OK, I’ll really come clean…It’s really President Bush’s love child, oh, and while I’m at it, I might as well come clean on a few others….the holocaust never happend, we never landed on the moon, there are no aliens at Area 51 because they have all be admitted to Texas A&M and have joined the Corps of Cadets, and the USSA is not disbanded they just went on hiatus for a…never mind, that last one might pan out!!!

  24. Helzerman says:

Odds of a teenage girl having a kid with downs, next to nil. An older woman having a kid with downs, pretty good, which is why they test for it. I’ll be shocked if this rumor is true.

  25. sayitsme says:

of course it all matters – is she a liar, a deceitful person? can she be trusted? did she take FMLA (Family Medical Leave Act) time off her job for a baby that isn’t hers (that would be fraud). Did she cover up this like she’s covering up her involvement with her brother in law? Yes it matters. McCain blew it because she is now too much of a distraction. But it’s probably a ploy to make the next pick look better, she’ll probably bow out quickly

  26. vpotus says:

This story is really intriguing. The republicans lied us into a war. Isn’t it possible that this republican could lie about pregnancy?

Consider this: Would a 44-year-old woman with four kids out of diapers, embarking on her first governorship, really get pregnant? Or would a 17-year-old, living in a small Alaska town with conservative parents who didn’t tell her about condoms, starting fooling around and accidentally get knocked up?

You can find news reports that Palin gave a 30-minute speech in TX AFTER her water broke and then flew home to AK. Ummm… if my water broke, I’d want to go to the closest hospital.

  27. #56 – Vpotus

The lid has only just begun to open on this Pandora’s box.

I seriously doubt that Sarah Palin is going to make it through what the next 3 months have in store.

She has too many hidden skeletons.

  28. Californian says:

It’s probably not true, but if it is, the three things that would bother me the most about it:
    1)Did she force her 16 yaer oild to carry a special needs baby to term and then take it away from her for political reasons;
    2) Frequent, repeated lying about the birth;
    3) Her holding Trig up politically as evidence of her her commitment to the Right To life movement.

But it’s probably just deliciously evil untrue speculation. The truth is likely that she just decided to get on a 12 hour flight with amniotic fluid running down her legs and a Down syndrome baby being born a month before her due date and her not informing the airline. That’s exactly the sort of 3 am decision making I’m looking for in a VP candidate.

  29. ArianeB says:

#47 “Then it should be no sweat to provide a link conclusively debunking this “myth”.”

Not right now, I have a friend in Anchorage, and this stuff has been going around there for months. The local press has looked into this and found nothing.

#51 “Does that mean we can’t discuss Cindy McCain’s abortion when she was 17 or Joe, John McCain’s younger brother, pretending he was gay in order to avoid the draft, or John McCain philandering with other women while his wife was seriously injured in hospital bed?”

McCain himself is fair game. Sarah Palin herself is also fair game. This story is also about her teenage daughters reputation as well, which I believe is too dirty a game to play.

Obama is fair game too, but not his half brother in Kenya who Obama has met twice in his life.

#54 “Odds of a teenage girl having a kid with downs, next to nil. An older woman having a kid with downs, pretty good, which is why they test for it. I’ll be shocked if this rumor is true.”

    Exactly! Science wins again!

  30. Kristin says:

Even if the reported TRUE story is the right one, that type of behavior is not that of someone we need for a VP or President if McCain doesn’t finish his term. If it is her daughters baby she needs to come clean over it and hope the people of her state don’t think bad of her.
