  1. Dallas says:

John, the Intel and Yahoo ‘interactive TV’ effort makes total sense. You missed the essence of the announcement. You might want to check it out again.

Note: If you own a DVR/TIVO (I have my doubts), guess what? YOU interact with your TV! Times have changed, my prodigious prognosticator…

  2. Lou Minatti says:

What does Sun do again? Oh yeah, they’re the Java company that sells grossly overpriced hardware.

  3. QB says:

HP or Futjitsu maybe. I’m not sure what a buyer would get from the purchase. Lots of companies support Sun hardware but it’s a shrinking market. The speculation sounds fishy to me.

  4. jbellies says:

I love the Lawrence Welk bubbles…. Comcast – other ISPs do it differently. Shaw (Canada) gives you a warning phone call if your monthly bandwidth exceeds about 60 GB. Telmex / Prodigy (Mexico) reportedly gives you full speed up to your monthly limit (which is reportedly only 4 GB !), but once you reach that, your speed turns to molasses for the rest of the month.

  5. Paddy-O says:

What does Sun have that’s worth selling, other than maybe Java IP?
